Again NFSv4 and Kerberos at the 'samba way'...
Hai Rowland, Yes, that correct. If you use this in override.conf then its. ( so not a copy of the service file to /etc/systemd ) systemctl edit rpc-gssd.service [Service] ExecStart= ExecStart=/Your/Own/Script/script.sh Note the empty line, without that won the override is NOT working. Hai, It's not totaly correct, In this case the shell script is called to set variables a user did set in /etc/default/file. Not execute the program. This is the exec of the program. (example) ExecStart=/usr/sbin/rpc.gssd $GSSDARGS And yes, you set varariables and other things also in systemd. Thats in debian Buster even more and more. They are having problems with dropping

Clients unable to get group policy...
Well, here is my plan of action. I will migrate the VMs on the secondary server to the primary one. Then I will zero the RAID10 array, install the latest XenServer, and load a Gentoo VM to build the needed binary packages. I can then create a new DC, promote it to the primary server, move the Windows VMs back to the secondary server, and then wipe and reload the primary box. This way I have an

In the press, once again
May be a little bit off topic, but this gave me hard laugh: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/09/24/sysadmin_file_tools/ Windows admins use a virtualized CentOS machine to copy files because their own tools are not able to handle copying a bigger amount of data. :) Cheers, Timo

Now with firewalld, opening up ports is now 'better' done by opening services. So what do I need, for starters it seems: dns, dhcp, dhcpv6, samba, kerberos Here is the list of services: RH-Satellite-6 amanda-client bacula bacula-client dhcp dhcpv6 dhcpv6-client dns ftp high-availability http https imaps ipp ipp-client ipsec kerberos kpasswd ldap ldaps libvirt libvirt-tls mdns mountd

Ok, so if i understand right, your sysvol is on a shared folder which is a debian squeeze server. i think you problem is that the needed acl cant be set on the queeze server. and why not systemd, since gentoo also does systemd https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Systemd and if you really want, just run your install with preseed/late_command="in-target apt-get install -y sysvinit-core"

I hate to revive this, but before I push my client through an upgrade, I have to be sure my issue is with ACLs not being supported, as suggested. Squeeze does have ACL support. root at dc01:/samba/var/locks# getfacl sysvol # file: sysvol # owner: root # group: 3000000 user::rwx user:root:rwx user:3000000:rwx user:3000001:r-x user:3000002:rwx user:3000003:r-x group::rwx group:3000000:rwx

FS corruption? bogus i_mode
Hello, I am doing some testing on a PXA270 based processor (on a single board computer) which makes the processor vulnerable to bit flips. One such bit flips seems to have corrupted the file system. The debug port on the board (it is a single board computer) had the following message when i think the FS corruption occured : <7>init_special_inode: bogus i_mode (33061) init_special_inode:
