How To Approach a Re-install Questions
...am wondering how best to approach this as I've never done this before. I'm interested in preserving all home stuff as well as apps I previously installed, but wonder whether just copying from old to new installation will work. It's the same OS and version. Will I run across lots of roblems with this? Should I just re-install everything, and save myself any issues? Curious. What are your thoughts on this? Cheers. Mark Sargent

Shares
Hai, As I know i could open my shares via domain eg: \\domainc.com\share I have 2 samba 4.1.5 server and one win2003 DC. Succesfully made a clustered filesystem so now both servers (except win2003) can open the shares. My problem is: i succesfully opened the share yesterday, it worked well one time but since that i couldnt open it via \\domain.com\share only via \\dc01\share or \\dc02\share. Could you help what could be the roblem? Thanks, Robert

Confused on how to do a machinefunction pass
...filing. I have written a couple of function passes for front end, but it seems they are completely different. I searched through forum and llvm documents, but couldn't find anything useful or questions were unanswered. Can anyone reference me to any material on how to do that or help me with my roblem. I have created a folder in: lib/Transform and put my pass in it. I am writing a simple pass like this: using namespace llvm; namespace { struct analyzer : public MachineFunctionPass { static char ID; analyzer() : MachineFunctionPass(ID) {} virtual bool runOnMachineFunction(MachineFunction &...

IVTV and xen: silent intermittent failures reading from /dev/video0
[Disclaimer: I realize that I probably won''t get this problem solved as it''s probably an unsual setup. I thought I''d ask, though.] P roblem: ''cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg'' (a simple IVTV test of my hardware mpeg2 encoder) doesn''t work properly under Xen. When this command is run, test.mpg should grow approximate...

mongrel not finding correct ruby path
...ll, i have been trying to figure this out for the last few hours, and after seemingly exhausting all the google search results, i figured i would try this mailing list... i just updated the ruby version on my ubuntu dapper drake box to the most recent version. i installed it into /usr/local/bin problematically, the previous installation was in /usr/bin mongrel still complains that: "Ruby version is not up-to-date; loading cgi_multipart_eof_fix" from looking at /usr/bin/mongrel_rails, i can see that the first line of the file is: #!/usr/bin/ruby1.8 which is the old version of ruby (1.8....

Intermittant Samba glitch
...39;'firewall'' which also did port-forwarding; this is before I wanted to add the FTP Server. So I dumped the script and decided to use ShoreWall 2.0.9 (bawed on two-interface sample) with vsftpd to solve that. DHCP, Internet sharing and FTP serving all seem to work very well, but my problem is there seems to be some ''glitches'' with File Sharing via SaMBa. It does work, but every quarter of an hour or so there seems to be a ''glitch'' and the server ''disappears'', usually for a matter of a few seconds. This is most noticeable when play...

Error: Device 0 not connected

New Firefly version
As Promised, I've released a new version of Firefly (ver 1.8) with IAX & SIP support back in. Get it from Virbiage site or here's the direct link http://www.virbiage.com/firefly/download/firefly-thirdparty.exe If it crashes on startup, export your Firefly tree from the registry (current user -> software -> firefly), then delete tree from your registry. If that fixes it, send
