[LLVMdev] way to determine which version of llvm for llvm-gcc? Xcode specifically
...g with Xcode 3.2.5's arm-apple-darwin10-llvm-g++-4.2
Calling it with --version and --verbose don't give any hints. I want to run the compiler with --emit-llvm and eventually call llc. llc isn't included in Xcode so I want to make sure I use the correct version.
Thanks in advance

[LLVMdev] way to determine which version of llvm for llvm-gcc? Xcode specifically
Hi Robb,
When you run llvm-gcc with -v, you should see as part of the output something like:
gcc version 4.2.1 (Based on Apple Inc. build 5658) (LLVM build 2366.3)
That last bit on the end is an llvm tag version and should do the trick for what you're looking for. They generally refer to the tags at...

Best practise guide
Hi,
I''m a new puppet user (thanks !) and I''m just looking at moving my
homegrown manifest structure into something resembling the best practise
guide at :
http://www.reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/PuppetBestPractice. It
seems as if the structure here doesn''t map to the default puppet layout
(and thus doesn''t work with the standard puppet config

Xen 3.0 User''s Manual
Hello all. I''m the tech writer at XenSource, Inc., and I''ve been asked
to ride herd on getting the revised Xen 3.0 User''s Manual put together,
reviewed, etc. We are targeting a review draft for 11/21 and it would be
great if any significant additions or changes that any contributers
might be making could get checked in before then so the review process

Rails at a different document root?
...ot;. Does anyone know where this would
be configured?
Basically, I''m building a setup with Rails behind Apache, and Apache
using mod_proxy to route requests to the Rails server instance. So
for example, Apache is doing this:
https://server/rails ---> http://localhost:3000

Some questions
.... I also read on some website that it is important to use this line
in the setup for iptables:
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/eth0/rp_filter
What does this do (it said something about spoofing, but I did not
understand), and is it necessary?
Thank you all for your enlightenment!

simulating directio on zfs?
I had to let this go and get on with testing DB2 on Solaris. I had to
abandon zfs on local discs in x64 Solaris 10 5/08.
The situation was that:
* DB2 buffer pools occupied up to 90% of 32GB RAM on each host
* DB2 cached the entire database in its buffer pools
o having the file system repeat this was not helpful
* running high-load DB2 tests for 2 weeks showed 100%

Find/delete bad DNS Entry
...ectory Studio.
Is there some way to query the underlying samba DNS data store to find the most recently added DNS entry?
I checked for but couldn't find krb4.conf so I guess I don't have Kerberos configured. Being a fairly new linux/Samba user the zonedelete option seems scary.
Thanks,
Robb

Any advice would be gratefully received
