Reading an email from an mbox file and resending to a different address without modification
...some email clients but am not having much success. I am sending messages with ActionMailer templates just fine so I''m pretty sure my environment is set up correctly and that my mail server is accepting the messages to relay. I am reading messages out of an mbox file and parsing them into RMail objects with RMail::Parser.read(). Then I''m storing some info about the message as well as storing the a text version of the RMail object in a field as the "raw" message (I get the text version of RMail using to_s() ) At a different point in the program, I want to "resend&q...

Dovecot2 + Sieve
Hi, i'm new on sieve, but want to use ist with sogo. The Problem is, that when i set a redirect or vacation rule like: redirect "email at example.com"; (real Adress is different) the sieve says the mail would be forwarded, but no mail is sent. (No Action in /var/log/maillog) And because there is no Error-Message it's difficult to search for... Dovecot log ------- Jan 28

booting from HVM (?pv?)
Hi, I''m the Mageia XEN packager and during QA, we stumbled into a problem. in fact, we wanted to test Mageia 3 installation on a HVM. so, we had a sparse image and a iso file: [ ''file:/opt/testhvm.img,sda,w'', ''file:/opt/mageialive.iso,hdb:cdrom,r'' ] the live booted, and was able to install to disk, but it never seemed to boot after the install...

...order to be able to mount it. So I tried using tunefs.ocfs2 and got the following error: tunefs.ocfs2 1.4.1 tunefs.ocfs2: Trylock failed while locking down the cluster So I searched a bit and found that there was a patch suggestion for ?--force option to tunefs, http://oss.oracle.com/pipermail/ocfs2-devel/2008-July/002447.html and that it was rejected, http://oss.oracle.com/pipermail/ocfs2-devel/2008-July/002449.html and some ominous warnings, http://oss.oracle.com/pipermail/ocfs2-devel/2008-July/002450.html o well... now how am I supposed to backup my live ocfs2 volume?...

"Digest" version of R-help and R-devel mailing lists
...>> >> See the end of the digest for information about r-help-digest > (and then these 6 messages concatenated) Further note that the digest follows "official" standard RFC 934, and can be dealt with `` almost any digest-digester that comes along '' (eg. in Emacs RMAIL, I can do M-x undigestify-rmail-message which would split the above digest into 1+6 single messages) Mail to R-help-digest is the same as mail to R-help (such that replying to R-help-digest will reply to where appropriate). I am proposing (and have currently activated) to have digestificati...

separating a digest into separate messages
Could someone suggest a mail reader that will parse a digest from r-help into separate messages? Preferably, this reader would allow replies or forwards of separate messages. I use pine on a Sun running SunOS 5.7. If there were an add-on to pine that would accomplish this task, that would be even better. Anne ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anne E. Is it stable for dovecot 2.2.27 to implement DRBD (or HAST) on block level for maildir data replication instead of using dsync plugin? Regards, George

sup 0.0.1 Released -- rubies for emails
...pread out across different mbox files, IMAP folders, and GMail accounts, and to pull them all together into a single interface. The goal of Sup is to become the email client of choice for nerds everywhere. Sup is made possible thanks to Dave Balmain''s ferret and Matt Armstrong''s rmail. Changes: == 0.0.1 / 2006-11-28 * Initial release. Unix-centrism, support for mbox only, no i18n. Untested on anything other than 1.8.5. Other than that, works great! http://sup.rubyforge.org -- William <wmorgan-ferret at masanjin.net>

how to loop through variables in R?
After importing a table with "M" variables and "N" records, I'd like to calculate chi-square statistics, say, between N1, N2; N1, N3, ..., N1, Ni, and then N2, N3, ... N2, Ni, ..., Ni-1, Ni. Two loops should be ok but the manual & online help don't show a systematic way to do so but instead show hard-code examples so users have to type in the names themselves one

MAIL on Solaris
On Solaris, the environment variable MAIL gets set to /var/mail//user, (with double // before user name),which breaks some MUAs, e.g. emacs' Rmail. The problem lies in the fact that /usr/include/maillock.h has: #define MAILDIR "/var/mail/" while session.c adds another / snprintf(buf, sizeof buf, "%.200s/%.50s", _PATH_MAILDIR, pw->pw_name); This only occurs on systems with maillock.h (i.e. not on linux...
