MGE Ellipse 500 cable config
...5. I suspect it is the serial version as the label next
to the RJ11 stands "com port", but I can't be 100% sure.
MGE Ellipse serial cable pinout can be found here:

I tried making the cable, but the pin numbering on the modular jack
(RJ12) wasn't clear on the page so I tried it both ways. Neither seems
to work for me. Which way is the right way?
I may need some help resolving this.
Trying minicom on /dev/ttyS0 with 2400 bps 8n1 I can see that anything
I type, gets echoed back character by character (in both pin

X100P questions
Hello!
I've been following this list for several weeks now and would like to
purchase some hardware for a VOIP/ voice-mail solution. This card appears
strikingly similar to a modem. Is it? Is there a product to bring in more
than one POTS line short of a full T1? It just seems silly that the
technology hasn't advanced any further than to have a single line per card.
Any thought

Siemens optiPoint 300
Anybody using Siemens optiPoint 300 H.323 phones? I saw a few references to
them in the archives of this list, and the Wiki seems to be down.
I have a chance to pick up a bunch of these, cheap.
Questions:
* Asterisk support?
* What sort of power supplies will they need? The bunch I am looking at are
surplus and have no supplies.
Thanks,

a great UPS.
Until i get some time to do it I thought I'd share what I've learnt.
It has a serial interface in the form of a RJ12 connector.
Pinout:

5: Rx on Host
6: Tx on Host
I think the other pins are used for simple level signals.

MGE Ellipse USB cable config ?
Hi everyone,
This is not directly NUT related, but i don't know where else I can
still ask this.
I have been using a pretty decent 2nd hand MGE ellipse premium 1200VA
for a while now at home. http://www.mgeups.com/download/doc_intl/
small/premium/389uk.pdf
It's been working very well for me on linux, but my linux server has
recently passed away and now I only have Macs left.
