Problem with Notepad ++
A little more thought into helping troubleshooting maybe take an ls -l and a properties screen shot in the middle of editing a file. It could be some setting in notepad++ that is interfering with itself. Problem with Notepad ++
If your file is unchanged and the modified time is unchange in both ls -l and the Windows file browser and notepad++ saw a change then the problem is with notepad++ not in samba or linux. Merge LUA branch of Marcel Ritter
Since Syslinux 4.01-pre2, lua is the master branch. This lua.c32 moudule doesn't support much. There is a much recent lua.c32, made by Marcel Ritter's: http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2009-October/013383.html The last time he wrote about the state of his lua branch: ============================================================ The current state is: - VESA: - switching to vesa mode

Slightly off topic but concerning R#DSC-2005
Has anyone seen an official announcement to DSC-2005. I saw and email exchange on the R-news list in mid January in which a date was announced unofficially. (to DSC-organizers: we need and "official" announcement to request funding and travel permission and flights from Europe to Seattle are starting to fill up, so this is urgent). BestPower Ferrups driver glitch with f commands
I did the testing you suggested, and it was indeed the whitespace. I added another if clause test to the function and everything seems to work. I have working driver that I will email a patch for this list. My coworker says the model ID is configurable though, so we will try that first, which would negate the need to patch the driver. ________________________________________ From: Charles Lepple

BestPower Ferrups driver glitch with f commands
The problem will only affect newer firmwares on the BestPower FerrUPS 2.1kva units. Additional white-space was the issue. I added a if clause to the bestfcom driver to account for this without breaking what was there. Here is the patch: diff -rupN release-orig/nut-2.7.1/drivers/bestfcom.c release-patched/nut-2.7.1/drivers/bestfcom.c --- release-orig/nut-2.7.1/drivers/bestfcom.c 2013-07-31

Problem with Notepad ++
If you are saying other programs are saying this as well it could be your windows system got corrupted and is not reporting mtime correctly to underlying programs. Try on a fresh install of windows or some other computer to be sure. funny arrows
The result of > plot(c(-1,1),c(-1,1),type="n") > arrows(0,0,1,1) > arrows(0,0,0,0) is not what I expected. The first arrow is drawn correctly. The second does not collapse to a point but goes from (0,0) off to (-infinity,infinity). I guess something is divided by zero in the internal function. unexpected behavior in bwplot
R-2.1.1 on windows XP I just noticed something unpleasant when using bwplot (from lattice). In order to satisfy a wish from a client, I needed to produce sets of boxplots conditioned by another factor. My client didn't like the look of the boxplots (by default, they have a star to mark the median, instead of the commonly used line). I told him "no problem" dumped panel.bwplot,

pxelinux and image selection?
Hi! I've been working with pxelinux for quite some time now, and I'd like to use PXE and a simple kind of selection menu (like syslinux does). But I couldn't get it to work. I can enter several "label" sections to my pxelinux.cfg/<something> but it'll never ask, just boot the first/default one ... Is this currently supported at all? Or did I miss something?

Greetings to you all, I had a quick question that I was not able to find an answer for. I am running Redhat 7.2 on i386 (Pentium III), and I am getting an error when I try to compile the samba 2.2.2 source, and I get the following error: Using FLAGS = -O -Iinclude -I./include -I./ubiqx -I./smbwrapper -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_GNU_SOURCE

A little problem handling logicals in RMySQL under R1.6.1
There is a little problem in handling logicals in RMySQL: # here is the MySQL connection > con <MySQLConnection:(1816,0)> # here is the data frame > print(a<-data.frame(x=c(TRUE,FALSE),y=c(FALSE,TRUE))) x y 1 TRUE FALSE 2 FALSE TRUE # as promised, the two data frame columns are identified as logicals and # the field types are set to tinyint > field.types <-

The desire for prettier and cheaper images ...
This might be easy (but I didn't find an answer in the archives). I'm trying to make nice looking images (using image()). To make them look nice (not jagged), it usually takes me at least 100x100 points. This can be slow for frequent redraws. Is there a smarter (less point intensive) way? I was thinking in terms of hexabins, for example, which for much less jagged looking regions,

Bug in 1.75 PXE code
Hi! I've spent the last days trying to get PXE working (with all the nice stuff that's in the specification - doesn't work :-( ) So I tried the new 1.75 with the Intel DOSUndi Bootdisk (which should verify that everything works correctly) but it does no longer work with syslinux-1.75! 1.74 is fine - so I guess something is broken here ... Please have a look at it - and let me know
