Cisco 7960 & asterisk 1.8.22 ringlist.dat error
Good Day everyone, Yesterday I upgraded the firmware on my 7960 to Sip 8.12 as provided by Cisco, however now the phone does not and will not read the RINGLIST.dat file. I've tried rebooting the phone, tried resetting the phone back to factory, have deleted the RINGLIST.dat file and reloaded the phone then reinstalled the RINGLIST.dat, and still the bloody phone will not read the file. I have not been able to locate anything in google about this...

cisco 7912 ringlist.dat file format
Anyone know what the file format for the cisco 7912 RINGLIST.DAT file is? I have a RINGLIST.DAT file for a 7960 that is working fine. It's just a list of the ring name and the file name but it doesn't work for the 7912. I've read somewhere that the 7912 needs the ringlist.dat file to be in xml but I can't figure out how exactly it is constru...

Asterisk 1.4 + Cisco 7970
...inutes, but eventually goes away. I am able to make and receive phone calls just fine, and asterisk sees the phone as registered. 2. The little phone on the extension icon continually shows a big red X on it - it this because the phone does not think it has registered itself? (because of MWI?) 3. RingList.xml doesn't seem to be fetched from the tftp server, or even requested. Has anyone successfully gotten new ringtones onto the phone? I have tried "ringlist.xml" and 'RingList.xml" as well as the old documentation recommending "RINGLIST.DAT". Background images are wo...

Cisco 79xx Ringtones
Hi, I'm after two very specific ringtones for the 79xx's... A dog barking, and a horse either galloping or neighing. I've tried making the sounds, but for some bizarre reason they're not working. I used to make quite a few ringtones for the 79xx's, but I seem to have forgotten how to do it! And to top things off, I can't even find the documentation on Cisco's site

Cisco 79XX Ringers & chan_sccp
Hello: Does anyone know how to configure any of the Cisco 79XX phones to get custom ringers when using chan_sccp with Asterisk? I've currently got Asterisk's 05-24-04 CVS-HEAD and Zozo's 0.2 release of chan_sccp. I've tried using ringlist.dat, but that appears to only be for the SIP phones... Thanks for any input, Andrew

I'm writing a program to quickly generate SIP<Mac>.cnf files for tftp configuration of the 79XX series of Cisco phones and would ask that anyone who is interested in using this please send me working examples of your SIP<Mac/Default>.cnf, and RINGLIST.dat files. Also, please send me your ring tones and * related logos for possible inclusion. Thanks, Christian Hoffmeyer YottaDot Solutions Huntsville, AL (w) 256.851.8689 (c) 256.655.0321 (iax) 700.859.4508

Skutch AS-66 and an X100P
I finally got my X100P working and now I have a question. I have several Skutch phone line simulators. My X100P works as expected with both a POTS line and an analog PBX port, but when I use a phone line simulator it doesn't answer the line. The phone line simulator doesn't power the line until the phone set goes offhook. Asterisk shows the RED alarm and then the alarm clearing but never

...pect): Information in the documentation on how to do this. (5) Workaround used currently (if applicable): A simple procedure is..... Cisco 7940g Firmware load problems
I have a Cisco 7940G IP Phone. I am trying to load the firmware to SIP 3.2. The Phone just hangs in Defaulting CM to TFTP Server. It doesn't do anything else after that. I also have two other 7940g's that are the Universal Application Loader mode and say Protocol Application Invalid. I need to know what I can do to fix both these problems. I am running Asterisk@Home version 1.0. I have to

Cisco 7960 + SIP
Hello all, I know this isn't strictly Asterisk, but I'm sure that there are more people here using the Cisco 7960 w/ SIP, so I thought I'd post here. I've just bought a Cisco 7960 phone to use with Asterisk. It came with the CallManager image on it. I've got the 4.4 SIP images (P0S3-04-4-00). If I put "P0S3-04-4-00" in the OS79XX.TXT file, the phone downloads this

Cisco 7970
I currently have two Cisco phones, a 7960 and 7970. The 7960 has a SIP OS on it and the 7970 has a SCCP. When the 7960 powers up it loads OS79XX.TXT, SIPDefault.cnf, SIP000E3875266C.cnf, RINGLIST.DAT, and dialplan.xml. I have a Cisco SmartNet agreement with the phone so I have access to download the firmware. I recently purchased a Cisco 7970 phone and was in the process of configuring it. I was having problems so Cisco suggested that I do a factory reset. Now the phone won?t boot at...
