Winbind is kill me!
Hi All, I am using CentOS 5.4 (Old-Out-Of-Date) and $ rpm -qa samba\* samba-client-3.0.33-3.15.el5_4.1 samba-common-3.0.33-3.15.el5_4.1 samba-3.0.33-3.15.el5_4.1 On Thursday, at a customer's site, I did my CentOS updates and got the above sort-of-new version of Samba. Problem: when CentOS booted back up, suddenly the only thing anyone could get into was their "homes" share. If

Agent 3.3 on Linux?
I dual boot WinXP and Fedora Linux and would like to run Agent 3.3 when I boot to Fedora. Has anyone successfully installed WINE (codeweavers?) on Linux and gotten the current Agent to function? What has your experience been? What problems have you encountered? I've seen very little discussion in the newsgroup. The web page that Mark Prince pointed to a few years ago is no longer active:

alsa not available in winecfg under karmic?
I upgraded to karmic yesterday, and ran winecfg. The list of possible sound systems has shrunk to three: oss, jack and eSound. I tried running winecfg plain, and with padsp and pasuspender prefixes. Susan

RC3: I'm impressed
SUMMARY I'm impressed. RC3 withstood anything I could throw at it. "-q 3" is really Vorbis' sweet spot, almost perfect, and "-q 0" is eminently usable, with only marginal defects for normal usage. Already sent money, will do that again. * * * I spent at least 40 hours in the last week testing RC3. I selected a few fragments from pop, classic and jazz CDs in my

[LLVMdev] llvm/test: suffix or operands invalid for `push'
...ypothesis is that the test simply doesn't follow ./configure. Would it make sense to skip the short test entirely and proceed with the full test suite? I had considered running it anyway, so that wouldn't be a serious problem for me. Heck, I'd even compile llvm-gcc using llvm and good riddance to the preinstalled gcc/g++ infrastructure, I wasn't planning on using it for more than doing the initial bootstrap anyway. I'm not sure whether that solves more problems than it creates though, and that's why I didn't try to that yet - but I'm beginning to think it might be th...

It sounds like you have llvm-gcc building for x86-64 (so the compiler defaults to emitting x86-64 code) but your

Hardware monitoring for Intel Atom D945GCLF.
Hi, Is there a way to make use of hardware monitoring on Intel 945GCLF (with Atom 230 cpu)? It is relatively new child of Intel, but maybe someone figured it out yet. pciconf -lv shows this: ichsmb0@pci0:0:31:3: class=0x0c0500 card=0x464c8086 chip=0x27da8086 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801G (ICH7 Family) SMBus

Trying "make check" from the llvm directory instead of "make" from llvm/test... doesn't work. Retrying from scratch, here's the transcript:

icecast2, ogg, mp3, etc
Hi, Just wanted to clarify, can icecast2 not read OR broadcast any mp3, or can it just not broadcast mp3 (but still play from a playlist)? I know the quality would be dropped if it had to reencode them though. And what's up with that POS Winamp3, it doesn't even play gg streams?!? I use xmms, but we have winamp3 on a demo computer, it just sits and keeps prebuffering. I need something
