Low-latency kernel?
While trying to apply the low-latency kernel patches to our RHv9 Linux 2.4.20-31.9, the patches would not apply. In comparing one of the first patch files (lowlatency.h) to that already on the system, it would appear the low latency patches were already applied by RH. The original RHv9 file (lowlatency.h) even had the patch author's name/credit in it. Does...

wctdm and two tdm cards
Greetings, I have a server I'm working on here with two tdm cards in it. 4 FXS and 4FX0. Both cards work fine on their own. The problem lies with using both in the system at once. I have verified the IRQ's are fine. I have tried switching the slots the cards reside in, no luck though. I am using ACPI but not APM. I am using gentoo latest, with vanilla 2.6(.10) kernel and udev. CVS as of

spandsp patch help
I've installed spandsp-0.0.1k on a RHv9 box with CVS-HEAD-09/19/04 and compiled the libraries just fine. Having a problem with patching the asterisk/apps Makefile however. The patch attempt results in: [root@phoenix apps]# patch <Makefile.patch patching file Makefile Hunk #1 FAILED at 35. Hunk #2 FAILED at 68. 2 out of 2 hunks FAILED...

HUP signal?
...eceived HUP signal -- Reloading configs == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/extconfig.conf': Found == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': Found <snip> How do I track down the source of the HUP? There are no indications in any log files and I do not have any cron entries for * (RHv9). Is asterisk doing this for some reason via internal code?

zaptel fxotune.c tool
...les: > fxotune.c wctdm.c wctdm.h > Log Message: > More TDM card echo API modifications. Making the fxotune program automatically > find the correct coefficients for the module. Lots of neat stuff. I did a complete cvs head checkout, compile, etc. Then compiled the zaptel/fxotune on RHv9 with one TDM04b installed and working. After stopping asterisk and running fxotune, I see: [root@phoenix zaptel]# ./fxotune -i open(/dev/zap/0): No such file or directory There is no zap0 on this system. If I modify the fxotune.c statement: for (i = 0; i < 255; i++) { to start with...

7960 TFTP
Are there any known issues with Cisco 7960s and any particular TFTP daemons? I cannot seem to get mine to speak to a Linux box, but Solarwinds under Windows works like a charm. TDM04b failures (xpost on purpose)
System: RHv9 cvs-head-11/23/04 with TDM04B and T100P (isdn pri). We've all seen many posts over the last several months regarding the stability of the TDM card. Today, the above system's TDM04B card (4 fxo ports) failed at approx 15:54:49. [root@asterisk asterisk]# cat /proc/zaptel/2 Span 2: WCTDM/0...

MOH - request to schdule in the past
I have googled this to death, and all I get are reference to the MoH needing a Zaptel timing source, and then people saying no they don't any more. -- Set Response Timeout to 2 -- Executing BackGround("SIP/211-57ba", "my-greeting") in new stack -- Playing 'my-greeting' (language 'en') == CDR updated on SIP/211-57ba -- Executing

CPU spikes with wcfxs loaded
I need to reopen this discussion because it's impossible to run spandsp (and VoIP) under these circumstances. With zaptel unloaded, I see the following "vmstat 1" output: no swapping, an occasional disk output, +/- 1003 interrupts/sec., less than 10 context switches/sec., CPU idle 100%. A very quiet system. I load modules zaptel and wcfxo, and the system utilization stays the

Interrupt latency problems
I'm debugging a TxFax problem whereby the fax transmission fails. I suspect interrupt latency--some interrupt routine is holding its interrupt too long. I have all unnecessary services switched off and X is not running when I perform these tests. Some transmission are successful while others fail at random points. I've noticed that after I boot Linux, load zaptel, wcfxo, and wcfxs,
