Please share some RHCE/RHCT learning material
Hi all,
will anyone please share me some material on RHCE/RHCT, I am fighting for
the Quality Engineer in RedHat, and that may help a lot in the coming
written exam.
Many thanks and Merry Christmas!
Cheers, Xiaobo

RHCE
I realize this is a CentOS mailing list but because it is based directly on RHEL, I would assume there are a few individuals who frequent the list that have passed the RHCE exam. I plan on taking the exam this March and was wondering if there are any tips you RHCEs out there could provide that may help me.
Thanks!
Dan

RHCE Training
I am possibly going to be sent for my RHCE training.
Looking at https://www.redhat.com/courses/rh300_rhce_rapid_track_course_and_rhce_exam/details/
I am thinking the concepts do not look difficult at all, having a manual and instructor makes this look fairly easy actually.
The only thing that looks important to take outside of this would b...

Since the RHCE exam is based on RHEL, that would be the best OS to work
with. If you don't want to shell out the money for RHEL, then CentOS 5

[OT] Linux/CentOS Volunteer or PT Work
Hi All,
I'm pretty new to this list and to CentOS, so forgive me if this kind of
thing is shunned. I have really enjoyed following some threads on this list
and learning what everyone out there is doing with the OS. I actually got
started on CentOS when researching how to study for the RHCE without forking
out big cash for Red Hat licenses, a donation is coming soon.
Anyway, I'm looking to do some part time Linux work (I'll work cheap,
possibly free for a non-profit) and would like some suggestions on how
others on the list have found odd job work. My goal with this work is...

OT: redhat training and RHES6
Greetings.
I am planning on getting my RHCE in the near future. I thinking I
should wait until 6 comes out before proceeding. That being said, I
don't want to wait past the end of this year.
That being said, do you all have any information about how long it takes
for their training platform to catch up to their release? Which is t...

RHEL havoc tool
...ocal LUG I
was wondering what was the best way to demonstrate some of the tools (and
more importantly) the way to tackle a problem.
And nothing would be better than not knowing what is wrong so attendants
can follow my reasoning in trying to fix a problem.
I heard from someone who followed the RHCE exams, that they use such a
tool to test the knowledge and it would be nice to have something like
that in Open Source, if it does not already exist.
Kind regards,

anaconda in 3.3?
Greetings,
I'm using centos3 to study for rhce, centos came highly recommended
in Michael Jang's rhce study guide. I've been having trouble
isntalling via nfs, an early exercise in the book, and googling around
leads me to think it might be an anaconda bug. I tried following the
anaconda link on the "upgrading from 3.1" pag...

Your opinion about RHCSA certification
Hello to all,
I'm currently studying (and collecting notes here
https://github.com/fdicarlo/RHCSA_cs) for RHCSA. My plan is to RHCSA
-> RHCE and then RHCSS.
What I want to ask you is:
- What do you think about it?
- Did you find it useful?
- Do you have any advices?
Best regards,
Fabrizio

Need DETAILED help using p2v
This is something I want to do over my holiday vacation to continue to broaden my skills.
I am experimenting (learning) about moving a Win7 physical drive to a VM under my CSB. I'm struggling a little on the steps when using our RH documentation (perhaps it is clear if you are an RHCE but it isn't to someone trying to learn from it initially combined with Google searches) so asking if anyone has any one-off how to scripts for this scenario? The two drives (Win7 and CSB) are two different hard drives both bootable on my laptop so it should be simple but...

Anyone can comment on this?

followup to request for centos C/W
just to follow on my earlier post, i have pointers to a couple
commercial C/W manuals for RHEL administration, but both of them use
an entire chapter discussing virtualization using Xen. i'm under the
impression that RH is firmly in the KVM camp (at least for now), and
that learning Xen on red hat/centos wouldn't be as useful as learning
KVM.

Server not responding after Samba upgrade

not respond to netbios queries, only to direct access via IP. Also,
when I try to resolv its name using nmblookup, I cannot find it.
When I access to server via IP address everything works fine.
Any idea ?

Locked version repos

Maybe I'd be better off just setting up some repos on a web server and
manually adding packages? I'd probably want a way to symlink packages to
prevent disk bloat.
What are other people doing out there?

Has anyone gotten the voicetronix boards to work with Asterisk, what
would it take? Or does anyone know where I can get 4 ports or more fxs

CentOS 7
Greetings all, just wondering if anyone knows if / when there will be
training materials for RHEL 7 (CEntOS7) available? The last book I was
able to purchase was the study guide for the RHSCA / RHCE exam, (by
Michal Jang!) Does anyone know if / when the next versions will be out?
I'd like to go through it all with the latest and not "last years model"
under my belt!
Thanks!
