wine compilation fails: 'checking X11/xpm.h - no'
Hello I am having this compilation error while running 'configure'. It fails to detect the xpm.h file which in fact is where it is supposed be. I am running RH70 and xpm&xpm-dev rpms are installed. Codeweavers FAQ offers a solution to this problem: http://wine.codeweavers.com/fom-meta/cache/38.html ... "I changed 'configure' line 980 from: if mkdir conftestdir; then to: mkdir conftestdir if -d conftestdir; then and everythi...

RPM
Hi All, Is there any sign of a Samba 2.2.2 RPM for Red Hat 7.0 in our future? If not, there is a possibility that I could create one at one of my RH 7.0 customer site. All I would need is instructions on how to upload it to you. Many thanks, --Tony aewell@gbis.com -- ------------------------- I Fish. Therefore, I am. -------------------------

(PR#1008) SIGSEGV began at 1.2.0
This behaviour is confirmed for RH70, RH62, Debian 2.2 on 3 different Pentium-class i386. I've checked back and package ann_0.2-2 works on 1.1.1, but fails with seg. faults on 1.2.0 (ann_0.2-2.pre3.tar.gz to accommodate the change in Makeconf) and subsequent (1.2.0 checked today on RH62 with gcc 2.95.3 19991030 (prerelease)). It...

locking db corruption with 2.2.5?
Hi, We are running Samba 2.2.5 on RedHat 7.3 rebuild with ldap support. We run Win2k Terminal Server, which provides most of the clients for the samba server. After a fairly long samba server up time (usually a couple of days, but this happened overnight), we end up with some odd entries in the smbstatus output in the "Locked files:" area.... Here is one line of the type I mean:

Upgrade broke file locking
Prior to upgrading from RH7.0 to RH7.3 our Samba filserver worked perfectly. Now we are having locking problems. Initially Iused the same samba binaries built on RH70, I tried rebuilding Samba and reinstalling but it had no effect. If user bon opens an M$-Office file they frequently get a 'file is already in use by bob'. Sure enough smbstatus -L shows the file locked by bob, but bob is the one that can't open it. And if bob shuts down his comput...
