...cks examples)
* "should_something" is now "should something" (magic underscores are gone)
In order to ease the transition from older specs, RSpec also includes
a translator that will translate your old specs.
In addition to these major changes, this release has over 60 applied
RFEs and bug fixes, many of them related to Spec::Rails - the Ruby on
Rails plugin for RSpec.
To install RSpec:
gem install rspec (you may have to wait a few hours for the gems to replicate)
To translate old specs:

shared descriptions -- a couple of issues
Hello All,
I''ve just upgraded to rspec/rspec_on_rails 0.9.3 and am very excited
about shared descriptions. They couldn''t have come at a better time: I
just finished refactoring some REST controllers so that the bulk of
the actions are inherited from a superclass. Now I can write the
specs once, too. :)
I''ve hit a couple of snags, though. I thought I''d

User quotas. A recurring question
One question that keeps coming up in my discussions about ZFS is the lack of user quotas.
Typically this comes from people who have many tens of thousands (30,000 - 100,000) of users where they feel that having a file system per user will not be manageable. I would agree that today that is the case however I personally don''t see this as an insurmountable problem. However the questions

ZFS High Availability
I''m looking for input on building an HA configuration for ZFS. I''ve read the FAQ and understand that the standard approach is to have a standby system with access to a shared pool that is imported during a failover.
The problem is that we use ZFS for a specialized purpose that results in 10''s of thousands of filesystems (mostly snapshots and clones). All versions of

Dumping pool configuration for D/R purposes
In the ZFS admin guide under the topic of Repairing Pool Wide Damage it talks about in the event that it''s not possible to open the pool you have to scrap it, re-create it and then restore from backup. To do this it mentions keeping a file that describes the layout of the datasets and locally set properties and the details from a zpool statis. Is there no command, or possibility of one to

RSpec 0.8.0-RC1
...0.9 release.
Please note that this is a Release Candidate, which means it is
subject to changes before the official release. We do hope, however,
that many of you will install this release so we can get a lot of
feedback and get to the official release quickly.
For those who do, please prefix any RFEs with "[0.8.0-RC1]" so we can
easily separate them out from the rest.
Many thanks to all who are using RSpec, whether just experimenting or
really using it on your business critical projects!
Cheers,
The RSpec Development Team

Path to libguestfs 1.12
...om people who
decided to skip the adventure that was Fedora 15, so anything that
gets into libguestfs 1.12 will be seen and used by a lot of people,
whereas anything that misses the 2011-07-20 deadline will not.
There are about 3 weeks left to suggest new features or to remind me
about any bugs or RFEs that need work before then.
Rich.

[Bug 525] ad a "cygwin-port" product or component to this bugzilla
...us: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: Miscellaneous
AssignedTo: openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org
ReportedBy: hauser at acm.org
It appears that RedHat is moving very slow on getting beyond the sophistication
of a mailing list for managing RFEs and bugs
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=83109), therefore, I
suggest to (temporarily) host this here. I am aware that this is not leading
edge for the core of openssh, but since this is a potentially important user
community, I suggest this is hosted here until a better place...

Re: OpenStack output workflow
...c scheduler would simply ensure
that
all the jobs are running. Each virt-v2v process would be run as a systemd
unit
(journald could capture the debug output), so that it is independent from
the API and Scheduler processes.
I know that I can propose patches for changes to virt-v2v, or at least file
RFEs in Bugzilla (my developer skills and programing languages breadth are
limited). For the evolved wrapper, my main concern is its housing and
maintenance. It doesn't work only for oVirt, so having its lifecycle tied to
oVirt doesn't seem relevant in the long term. In fact, it can be for any

Move data from the zpool (root) to a zfs file system
Hi List,
As a ZFS newbie, I foolishly copied my data set to the root zpool file
system (a large iSCSI SAN array). Thus:
# zpool create -f iscsi c4t19d0 c4t20d0 c4t21d0 c4t22d0 c4t23d0 c4t24d0
# zpool list
NAME SIZE USED AVAIL CAP HEALTH ALTROOT
iscsi 9.53T 64.5K 5.34T 0% ONLINE -
# zfs set mountpoint=/mydisks/iscsi iscsi
Then copied

Hi everybody! Greetings from sunny Columbus, OH!
Hey everyone, I just wanted to drop onto the list and say hi. My
name is Chad Humphries and I am a partner at a ruby and rails shop in
Columbus, OH called EdgeCase.
Up until two months ago we were doing all of our dev work in
test:unit. I had read about RSpec before and after hearing Jim
Weirich speak at the Columbus Ruby Brigade about similar ideas I
decided to give it a go for a

resilver speed.
Is there any way to control the resliver speed? Having attached a third disk to a mirror (so I can replace the other disks with larger ones) the resilver goes at a fraction of the speed of the same operation using disk suite. However it still renders the system pretty much unusable for anything else.
So I would like to control the rate of the resilver. Either slow it down a lot so that the
