Integrated RTL8168/8111 NIC not assigned interface
I'm running 7.0-RELEASE-i386 on Jetway's NC92-N230 mainboard. The board has
one integrated RTL8168/8111 gigabit NIC as well as an expansion board with
three RTL8168/8111 NICs. Why would the three NICs work while the onboard NIC
does not?

Does anyone have a patch that will generate an appropriate EOI to
a DigiBoard?
Alternatively, can anyone suggest how I can disable or mask a specified
PCI interrupt?

Please excuse any delays as the result of my ISP's inability to implement
an MTA that is either RFC2821-compliant or matches their claimed behaviour.

Resend of returned email: [3.6.6] Possible to allow password-free read/write access?
Why would the samba list be looking for a reverse host name
via IPV6? IFAIK I only have an IPv4 addr and reverse
addr. I don't know if the original went to the person
in france or not.
Anyone else getting bounces like this?

Is it safe to delete /bin/[ && /usr/bin/false?
Greetings,
Well, I en devoured to install a copy of 7 as an effort to upgrade
one of our servers. After installing a few ports, I began to notice:
[: -le: argument expected messages being emitted during the configure/make
process. I've already invested a fair amount of time on this upgrade,
and /really/ don't want to wipe the disk(s) and start all over. This
issue is not new to me - see

Resend of returned email: [3.6.6] Possible to allow password-free read/write access?
...and im never blocked..
but i did setup conform all rfcs.. i block servers in the same way.
so yes, i did set my reverse for ipv4 and ipv6..
what most people do wrong..
1) the hostname must have A and RR (PTR) and MX record.
2) the HELO hostname must have a A Record.
https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2821#section-2.3.5
and IF you server has an ipv6 ip.. it is preffered over ipv4.
and for that reson, or disable ipv6 in total, or set the hostname also.
Greetz,
Louis

I would also like to help as well.
As KMacy knows before i asked a lot of questions for T2 types of
servers but unfortunately i have no more access to those kind of
hardware as well.
I;m willing to participate if a team will be formated.

configure lmtp to deliver to email addresses case insensitively
Dear List
Using dovecot 2.1.7 with LMTP and exim4 I want to accept local parts
regardless of their case.
Exim does all virtual alias handling and delivers the messages to
dovecot LMTP addressed to the right mailbox name. This works well except
for addresses which do not need to be resolved by exim and which do have
the "wrong" case in the local part.
For example: There is a

sysctl maxfiles
By default FreeBSD 7.0 shipped with the sysctls set to:
kern.maxfiles: 12328
kern.maxfilesperproc: 11095
We recently bumped up against these limits in an unfortunate way and
we are going to raise them. I have some questions:
* why are the numbers set the way they are? They aren't round numbers,
they aren't powers of 2. But they were arrived at somehow with

Net::SMTPAuthenticationError
Hey guys,
I want to send an email via ROR and I have put this code at the very end
in the config/environment.rb file-

ActionMailer::Base.logger = nil
ActionMailer::Base.raise_delivery_errors = true
ActionMailer::Base.smtp_settings = {

SMTP external forward
I read several posts about SMTP being blocked at ISP.
My ISP has the same limitation.
My ADSL connection (1 fixed IP) only permits outbound connection to port 25
to their server.
None of those posts answered my need. I tried FAQ also.
I have several internal email clients/bots that needs to retrieve/send
messages, some of then are notebooks.
It''s not fair to change SMTP server to the

How to set ''Return-Path'' in ActionMailer to avoid SPF failure?
I was wondering if there was any way to set the ''Return-Path'' of an
email when using ActionMailer. Without the ability to set the
''Return-Path'' of an email, it is impossible to avoid being labeled as
''spam'' by many SMTP gateways if trying to send mail on another''s
behalf. SPF doesn''t care about the

postfix tightening
I am used to sendmail and am using Postfix now and am uncertain of some
features. I typically would comment out the line in sendmail.mc that
went something like 'accept unresolvable domains'
I tried using
smtpd_sender_restrictions =
reject_unverified_sender
reject_unverified_smtp
and this seems a bit too restrictive and got some bounces on legitimate
senders
so I'm

Sockets stuck in FIN_WAIT_1
I have a rather busy Apache 2.2 server; tons of small & some large
requests. It's a standard Dell 2650 server using the bge (broadcom)
network driver.
I seem to have a rather strange problem where after just a day or so
Apache just stops processing new connections. You can connect to port
80, but trying to get Apache to process any data just hangs. There is
nothing strange in

the system completely freezes up:
