Unicast or Multicast?
Hi, there!
I have a doubt about if this server supports unicast, multicast or both. I
was looking for information in the web but I couldn't found anything.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks

Icecast over HTTPS
Hi,
is there anyone running Icecast stream over HTTPS. Is it even possible? We
are updating our iOS app and there is the new Transport security... For
now, it can be disabled per domain, bud in future, this may be a problem...
:)

New TLS support in libshout
flum,
I just merged my experimental TLS support into libshout master. I would
love to see some testing on this before next release of libshout so we
can fix bugs that may still be in the code.
New TLS support requires OpenSSL to be enabled at compile time. It
supports both RFC2818 ('classical' mode with a TLS socket) and RFC2817
('Upgrade:' mode with just a HTTP socket and STARTTLS like operation).
Using the new TLS support is easy:
There is a auto detection. So if you try to connect to an TLS enabled
server by just setting hostname and port correctly that w...

both ssl and non-ssl stream on the same socket
Hi.
I configured icecast to serve a stream over ssl and it plays nice in Chrome
and VLC. But on plain http I get *connection reset*. This stream's url is
the same for many years now, and it is included in many radio directories,
TuneIn and other apps. I can't change it or break it.
Is there a way to have a stream that servs the content over ssl and plain
http in the same time, depending

add user failed check log
...urself a lot here. Clearly you can only bind once to each
port and address pair. (If no bind address is given, the wildcard
address is assumed.)
As for the TLS settings: in 2.4.x it is <ssl>1</ssl> and in 2.5.x it is
<tls>true</tls> (which is the same as setting it to "rfc2818"). However
for 2.5.x I would recommend to set this to <tls>auto</tls> (which
allows any mode, including non-TLS) or <tls>auto_no_plain</tls> which
allows any mode but non-TLS.
More details can be found e.g. here:
