Retrive data from repartitioned / reformatted hard drive?
Hi,
The title says it all. One of my clients showed me a 120 GB hard drive
that his daughter accidentally formatted, according to him. I booted the
first CD I had at hand - a Slackware 11.0 install CD - and launched
cdfdisk /dev/hda. cfdisk informed me that there was even no partition
table. So much for reformatting. cfdisk only shows me 120 GB of free space.
Any way to retrive data on this

How can I use "Asterisk Manager API" to hold and retrive an active call?
These are common functions. Why "Asterisk Manager" doesn't provide
commands to hold and retrive an active channel?
If it must be implemented by AGI, could anyone give a direction or
steps?
Thanks in advance,
James

How can I use 'Asterisk Manager API' to hold and retrive an active call?
Thanks Stefan for input.
I know that there is a "hangup" action in Asterisk Manager API.
I am looking for "hold and retrive" commend. I search google and find
that redirecting to parkslot can work.
If I have a PSTN call connecting to Asterisk and then to a SIP
extension, there are two connections here. If I redirect one channel to
parkslot, another channel will automatically

[5.xx-6.01] broken PXE with HTTP
Hello
With 4.06 this works fine all times. But with versions 5.1x-preX and
6.0x-preX, 6.01) does not work, random errors or nothing shows
(netconn_write error -5), random behaviour. Only few times works
(1/50...). Note that retriving files via TFTP works perfect in all cases.
This happens using pre-compiled files in tarball and building for source.

ActiveRecord associations
Can someone clarify this for me? Suppose I have two tables like:
class Company < ActiveRecord::Base
belongs_to :category
end
class Category < ActiveRecord::Base
has_many :companies
end
I understand that the belongs_to causes related companies to be read
from the db when I ask for a category. I suspect SQL something like
select * from categories, companies
where category.id

Storing Array in Database
Hey all,
I''m storing an array of timestamps in a field in my database as an
array. When the items get saved, however, some minus signs are appended
to the text:
sample output:
---
- 1151971200
- 1152576000
- 1153180800
- 1153785600
- 1154390400
Is this normal behavior? When I retrive the value out of the database
and .to_a, the three minus signs (---) are counted as the first
