It would appear that communication with the PDC is fine - all other commands (-t, -m, -s SID, -n name, etc.) work OK, it's just the group/user enumeration calls that appear to fail. I know it's a weird idea, but I don't like the fact that W2K shares c$, d$, RPC$, etc. With Cygwin, I didn't get past configure, it complained that locking was unavaliable and bombed out. Hi all I just installed an OSX server that I joined to an existing Active Directory Domain. It works for the Mac side of OSX, but windows clients can't connect. >From wath I understand, it is now time to setup samba to authenticate users of the AD domain. I am trying to get samba to work with winbind and still have the DC (w2k) use restrict anonymous. If I run wbinfo -A it will allow me to enumerate all the user accounts and groups but I still get prompted for a password when I try to access samba shares. I can turn off restrict anonymous and I can access the samba box all day with no problem but as soon as I turn on restrict anonymous it breaks.

Hi, I have upgraded to Samba 3.5.6 for Windows 7 Pro compatibility. I am in a test phase to evaluate the behavior of Windows 7 in a Samba PDC environment. I have one Samba server as a PDC with tdbsam backend (no LDAP at all), and I applied the reg and patch as described in the wiki.
