What happened to the RescueCD?
Hey folks -
So what happened to the RescueCD ISO?... i'm not finding it under the
...centos/4.4/isos/ dir, as i believe it generally has been previously.
At my office, we have a local mirror, and i've always just burned the
RescueCD ISO and booted with that. At the prompt i supply "linux
askmethod" and then later reference our local mirror to do an install or
upgrade. The

Hi,
I 'am trying to launch linux kernel 2.6.7 with initramfs.
My pxelinux.cfg/default file looks as follows:

Kernel image vmlinuz-2.6.7-1 and initramfs_data.cpio.gz was loaded
succesfully by pxelinux.
Kernel says:

ext3 offline resizing
Hi all,
I want to setup a linux workstation with FC4 and with
all the partitions (except for /boot) under LVM to be
able to resize them in future. I don't need online
resizing, I can shutdown the system and reboot with
the rescuecd when needed.
I have done some test on this configuration and I have
sverals doubts:
If i format a partition with the resize_inode feature
enabled and I resize it

Live linux booting
I have a need to have a live Linux (Debian or sysrescued ) to boot off a hard-drive so that the
hard-drive ends up umounted after boot. (for running partimage ).
I've gone down the memdisk iso route and read about the issues there - I've seen a way to do this by
mounting over nfs (messy) - but I want to do this without the network.
I'm thinking that there should be a way to loop

Multiboot CD
...admin/rescue/... CD (DVD) with some images on it.
I'm looking for tool to do this an wanted to ask if isolinux could be
the solution.
For example I want to make a DVD with images of
- Knoppix
- Slax
- (Beos or OpenBSD LiveCD)
- emergencycd3
- repairlix
- Linuxdefender
of course some live and rescueCDs, I thing about a Windows-Install-CD.
I want to put some bootable CD-Images on one big bootable one with an
menu to choose which to boot.
I searched a while for some Windows/Linux tool but still did find the
right thing. What about isolinux. (How) Can it be the right one?
Or do you know about an...

SYSLINUX 3.00-pre9 released
I have just released SYSLINUX 3.00-pre9. The only change versus
3.00-pre8 is that the MEMDISK query API now reports the boot loader ID
byte, per Bernd's suggestion.
This is a release candidate, and I plan to release it as 3.00
*tomorrow*, unless I hear back anything bad.

Fwd: Isolinux 5.01 and higher not working on various Dell desktops
I recently tried using the latest GParted Live iso (0.16.2-11 i686
PAE) on a few circa-2004 Dell desktops (e.g. Dimension 8400, Precision
370, OptiPlex 170L, all with latest BIOS). However nothing would
appear onscreen after selecting cdrom boot. I managed to modify the
iso and use isolinux-debug.bin, and the output I always received was:
