What is the best way to resale termination/origination?
Hi,
We have been selling * systems for a while and always have used other
companies for origination and termination and let the client pay directly.
Since we do not have enough traffic to justify building our own
infrastructure we would like to start reselling someone else's service.
Any ideas? It would have to include easy way for billing.
Thank you.

more cpu intensive echo cancellers ?
Hi,
I've had some decent luck with the mark3 echo canceller from the zaptel
driver, echos on about 20% of the calls, people I've called say I sound
great now, but our side hears echos.
I was wondering if there was any way to tweak the current software
cancelers into using more CPU (and hopefully doing a better job, close
to a hardware canceler), I only have 10 lines, and a single call

OT (kinda): Justification for adding Asterisk to the business plan
Greetings all,
I'm trying to build a justification case to get the firm I work for to start
working with Asterisk more. How could I build this case?
The argument I'm raising is that people need phones. PBX systems are too
expensive for fewer options and less expansion capabilities. Leveraging
Asterisk in the business plan would allow for more consulting revenue and

FW: CallerID
Jay,
I contacted you many times regarding the script, whether you planned to
update it, suggestions for features, etc. You did not respond to any of my
later emails. Similarly, there was discussion between list members
regarding whether this script was orphaned after changes to 411.com made the
reverse lookup non-functional - for a long time. I assumed responsibility
for updating the script as

What are the various models of DID providers
Hi,
Inspired by a recent rant about one particular provider, I am getting
very curious about something I've never mastered. I'd like someone to
explain this here or at least post a link or two that can educate me
and probably countless others who have no knowledge in this area. I'm
sure there are several of you reading this that know all about the
subject.
What are the various

Rate limiting for guests via ebtables
Hello to all,
I''ve got some guests that are really beginning to become bandwidth hogs.
Some of them are file mirrors, some of them are just simple ftp backup
servers.
I''d like to try ebtables with my public bridges to try and tame things a
bit, and was wondering if anyone has some snippets or scripts they would
like to share.
I''m new to ebtables, and am finding it a

Wiki TOS - worrying for an open source project?
Hi there,
I've made a couple of small contributions to the wiki but recently I
read the Terms of service, they are pretty draconian:

use of this site. This license does not include any resale or
commercial use of this site or its contents. Without express written

SIP INVITEs borked with iconnecthere
Symptoms: when calling my iconnect phone number (13033913323 in my
bogus example below) from my cell phone, I can see that the call
makes it to my asterisk server, and my phones even ring once as *
passes the call through during the "180 Ringing" period. However, it
seems that iconnecthere.com cannot see my "100 Trying" and "180
Ringing" messages, as they

CNAM lookup: new method for Caller ID Name delivery
[cross-posted to -biz and -users since it could fall into either category]
Interesting new product that has been introduced that I think some
would be interested in here (at least, those users in the United
States and perhaps Canada): CNAM delivery via IP lookup.
The problem: inbound calls on many PRI connections, and also over
many VoIP providers, do not include caller name. This means that

----www.cdsportal.net---- wholesale voip provider
Why pay 1.1 cent's a minute for interconnecting to another Asterisk server
for a high volume call center.
Do people really understand what they are trying to sale and take an honest
look into what they advertise.
As a high volume user like a call center I would not connect my Asterisk Box
to there Asterisk Box to a third Sip provider who then hands of to the Level
3 and so forth.
