Samba 3.6.23, Windows Server 2012 R2 AD Environment
I know it's an old release, and my apologies for wasting anyone's time. I've been asked about an older version of AIX 7.1 with Samba 3.6.23 installed. The requestor is moving to a Windows Server 2012 R2 domain. They want AIX/Samba 3.6.23 to be a domain member, using the 2012 R2 AD to authenticate users to access Samba shares on the AIX server. This is the way it's working

[PATCH] xenstored: Fix processing of zero-length messages
When a message with zero length is sent to xenstore, the body of the message was not processed until the socket or ring had more data to read; this will cause deadlocks if the requestor is waiting on a response to continue. Help with DRY: too much code in my view
I''m a newbie to rails, and really to the whole DRY and MVC thing as well, except where I accidentally fell into things doing it my own way in the past. I''ve got a fairly complex DB structure I want to create an interface for using Rails. Getting simple tables to display, edit, save, not too much problem there. But where I''m having trouble is figuring out where to

R(D)Com
Hello, Brand new user of R that I want to interface with Windew (http://www.pcsoft.fr), I am looking for a detailed documentation of R(D)Com. Does anybody know where I can find it, or do you have any form of experience of the use of R with Windev? Thanks for your help. PS : As I am new to the group, people interested in some details about the requestor could find his resume at address

inode deadlock: can't reclaim VLRU: suggestions please [was RE: k ernel deadlock]
For FreeBSD 4.7 I've discovered the cause of the deadlock, but I can't figure out how to fix it. See below for traces. If the vnode limit has been reached, the vnlru process is kicked and the requestor goes to sleep to wait for the vnlru process to signal that vnodes are available (10% of the vnodes need to be freed). Under our test, none of the nodes meet the criteria for freeing,

Links in DF's Markdown?
I noticed the markdown used for http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/had this: Discussion List <a id="discussion-list" /> --------------- It seems to be a way to associate id's or classes with markdown elements. Is this a standard "best practices"? I've gone a different direction in my use of MD. I have a trivial jQuery stunt that looks for

Dear All, Apologies for this simple question and thanks in advance for any help given. I want to make from my .R script an .exe file. Is there any way to transfort my script to an autolaunch file? Slow printing/Server authentication
I am running Samba 2.0.6 on HP-UX 10.20. I serve out print services sitewide to a couple of hundred printers. They are networked, jet direct connected. However, they show as local devices on the server (we implemented BSD printing on the HP ourselves). I have up to about 600 users utilizing this service. We use security set to server with an entry for everyone in the password file. The

pup problem
Hello! On May 28, I had a problem with pup and seamonkey. I was doing an update via pup and reading a page via seamonkey; seamonkey froze with a plain brown screen. I waited awhile, and then did the press-the-power-button-until-it-shuts-off. However, I don't know whether it was seamonkey or pup that actually caused the freeze, but apparently pup did not do its updating job correctly.

trying to resurrect discussion about "Cannot signal a process over a channel (rfc 4254, section 6.9)"
...do share Thomas?s feeling that separating the server and client aspects would be a good way to restart from a clean slate This is why I would suggest to first address the server side of the matter, which turns out to be our team?s major and single concern here, like I believe all/most of the other requestors The thread contains, in Comment 44, a link to a patch here - again limited to server side https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/attachment.cgi?id=3120&action=edit that we?ve been able to test on a fedora28 box, and that updated version indeed improves the overall behaviour of the openssh server side fo...

Possible memory leak problem...
I''m trying to figure out a possible memory leak problem I have in my application. I''ve tested both with mongrel and webrick and the problem remains. So I think it''s not a mongrel problem, but I''m posting here to see if anybody can help me. The RAILS application is quite simple, no special plugins ( no RMagick that has the memory problem ),

hang on exit - bug or no bug?
The hang on exit has become quite an issue in my organization(Sun and HP hosts). I see this note in the changelog which indicates that there will not be a fix for this problem: 20001129 - (djm) Back out all the serverloop.c hacks. sshd will now hang again if there are background children with open fds. Also, I am aware of the workaround as noted in the FAQ. However this workaround is not
