Centos 3.8 Server Questions, SeaMonkey Mozilla and Java
In order to run a certain software package that runs as a java applet I had to install Centos 3.8 on a 32-bit server. After installation I upgraded the installation using yum after repointing the configuration file to vault.centos.org. This worked fine, however, I still have to resolve two problems:

Debugging TLS Retry Handshake errors
So, I'm using Samba AD for user authentication by some web appliances,
using LDAPS over port 636. I've been doing this for quite a while -- and
my certificates and everything seem to check out.
But this week (and with one appliance -- my firewall), I'm finding that
maybe 3/20 times the bind will fail for perhaps 10 seconds. During this
time, the logs read (for each failure):

Mix/match C8 crypto policies
Is it possible to mix and match crypto policies using approved tools
in CentOS 8?
Our environment requires a LEGACY setting for OpenSSL so we can
maintain connections with our LDAP servers (which we cannot update at
this time), but I'd like especially the OpenSSH settings to use the
DEFAULT policy (and maybe even FUTURE on a test host or two).
I think it's possible to manually

IE 9 not sending digest auth info
I migrated our internal wiki server last week, and some IE users
aren't able to authenticate.
The service is hosted by Apache using Digest authentication. It
migrated from Apache 2.2.9 (Debian 5) to Apache 2.2.15 (CentOS 6). The
internal hostname for the wiki server is a DNS CNAME that was
repointed from one host to another during the cutover.
In a normal session,

Best way to upgrade from 1.0a4 to 1.0a5
Hello all,
I have 1.0 Alpha 4. Is it better to shut down sendmail, uninstall dovecot
1.0a4 then install 1.0a5, or just install 1.0a5 over the top of 1.0a4?
Thanks,
Cliff

Fwd: Samba4 as AD server
So I set up two of my three Linode servers in the Texas datacenter as
Samba4 domain controllers. (One to provision the domain, and one joining
it.) These have IPTables in place that allow my home IP address to access
any protocol/port, and 53 is allowed from everywhere for both tcp and udp.
The domain that I configured is AD.WINDSOFSTORM.NET, and I have delegated
NS records for that subdomain to

[LLVMdev] Proposal: stack/context switching within a thread
...frames. Still, it would be nice to support this use case.
Kenneth, I don't want to insist that the first version of this be both
a floor wax _and_ a dessert topping, but is there a natural extension
to supporting what Stackless needs that we could add later? It looks
like swapcontext() simply repoints the stack pointer and restores the
registers, while Stackless wants it to be able to allocate memory and
copy the stack. Maybe that implies a "mode" argument?
Alternately, Stackless could probably work with a segmented stack
mechanism like Ian Taylor implemented in gcc for Go. Do you see...

Since we move Documentation/x86 docs to Documentation/arch/x86

DID failover
I'm setting up an asterisk server where an administrator will not
always be available in case of problems. While I expect problems to
be rare, I need to be prepared. We're thinking of VoIP DID's and SIP
phones so it's an all TCP/IP network. We could get a second server
to substitute - What is involved in 'transferring' or 're-
registering' the DID

Supporting WinImage compressed images
I am using PXELINUX, ISOLINUX, and memdisk in my project
(http://unattended.sourceforge.net/). When memdisk gained support for
compressed images, I started using it because it is cool. I used gzip
to compress floppy.img to create floppy.imz, and all was good.
But now my users are complaining that they cannot use WinImage (a
Windows floppy image editing tool) to edit my floppy.imz files.
I have

Dynamic DNS registration works with the clients pointing to the
Unbound cache (at an account with a Windows AD server). The clients
must be determining what system to register with via DNS records even
though

i'm having. I have asterisk setup with extensions 101 to 109 and am
using xlite, grandstream budgetone, polycom ip500 and a couple of
other phones. the problem is:
1. only the xlite extension (107) can receive calls.
2. all extensions can dial into voicemail and get mwi when msgs are received.

Winetricks gfw under root vs under user
Code:

does not work under regular user; only under root (
Code:

What have i tried:
