Subsetting data by eliminating redundant variables
...)
data2 <- data.frame(data1)
outredun <- redun(~., data=data2, r2=.8,)
outredun
#outredun1 <- capture.output(redun(~., data=data2, r2=.8,))
#outredun1

#mydata12 <- daat1[myvars] #myvars I need to pass to retain variables
which gives me , say for this example Rendundant variables:x6 x4 x3 and
Predicted from variables: x1 x2 x5 as output in console.
I want to subset my original data with either by keeping 'Predicted from
variables' or by droping 'Rendundant variables'. I have tried using
capture.output function as mentioned above in the commented c...

iscsi storage and multipathing
First, I am new to Xen.... So forgive me if I am overlooking something. Here
is my situation, I have multiple dom0''s that are part of an ocfs2 cluster.
The dom0''s mount multiple volumes (/home, /app, /images) from an ISCSI
storage array. Their eth2/eth3 network interfaces are attached to a private
storage network. They are not part of Xen''s network bridge and have

Multiple index instances and ferret/acts_as_ferret
We''re running Ferret and acts_as_ferret in our production environment. We
have multiple mongrels talking to a single index on a separate (virtual)
server over DRb. This is working ok for now, as our index updates are fairly
infrequent. I''m concerned with the lack of rendundancy/scalability in this
layout.
Our index won''t get too big - maybe 100k indexed objects, each no

UDP streaming vorbis
Hello..
I've searching the mailing lists archives for udp streaming, but i only
found some references to using rtp, but it doesnt answer all my
questions..,
I'm trying to implement a vorbis client/server for doing streaming over

make it work. (BTW, im using multicast, and it works fine). The problem is

Testing failover and recovery
Hello,
I've found GlusterFS to be an interesting project. Not so much experience
of it
(although from similar usecases with DRBD+NFS setups) so I setup some
testcase to try out failover and recovery.
For this I have a setup with two glusterfs servers (each is a VM) and one
client (also a VM).
I'm using GlusterFS 3.4 btw.
The servers manages a gluster volume created as:

Dedicated server running ESXi with no RAID card, ZFS for storage?
Morning all...
I have a Dedicated server in a data center in Germany, and it has 2 3TB
drives, but only software RAID. I have got them to install VMWare ESXi and
so far everything is going ok... I have the 2 drives as standard data
stores...
But i am paranoid... So, i installed Nexenta as a VM, gave it a small disk
to boot off and 2 1Tb disks on separate physical drives... I have created a
