recognize_path discrepency
hey all - wondering if someone would relive my confusion... given a model called say Meeting and a route as "map.resources :meetings" in the console: >>r=ActionController::Routing::Routes >>r.recognize_paths "/meetings" =>{:action="index",:controller=>"meetings"} all works as I expect, but if I do >>r.recognize_paths

Bug: config parser broken in ff78e2b62a45f18c0d427153f957d2f06c0f5c1c
...yslinux-3.74-pre7^0 "append initrd=" and IPAPPEND aren't working anymore. KERNEL works fine, but append is missing. KERNEL linux.c32 APPEND vmlinuz initrd= does work however, but not with IPAPPEND I don't know what other features might be broken but I noticed these as they are relivant to my environment. On a side note, for the Dell R710, I needed syslinux-3.74-pre3 in order to boot it as the R710 has so many intergrated devices that it runs out of memory. -- Kevin "CrackerJackMack" Landreth

Nessus test issues with open shares
Hi, My name is Joseph Villa, I'm new to the message boards and I'm also new to Samba. I just got an e-mail back on our Nessus scans.. Here are the 2 that are relivant.. 1.) The remote host has accessible LOGS$ share. ScriptLogic creates this share to store the logs, but does not properly set the permissions on it. As a result, anyone can use it to read the remote logs. Solution: Limit access to this share to the backup account and the Domain Administrato...

Dovecot and time (again)
I'm rehashing/reliving my issues from 2010: http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2010-October/053528.html In short, when calling deliver from vdelivermail (or procmail), and delivering via NFS to Maildir, the timestamp on the file is GMT.? If procmail or vdelivermail completely handle the email, the timestamp is CST. The server is set to CST. What's changed from the original issue??

Problems with simple samba setup
Hi All I'm trying to set up a machine with a simple samba configuration. I've written the config file with no problems, however any time I attempt to connect to the shares it doesn't work. Firstly, the smb.conf: [global] netbios name = TEMPSRV workgroup = LIPSON map to guest = Bad User [ittechs] comment = Should not see me... path = /var/smb/ittechs read only = no force user =

lattice and dates
HiI'm fairly new to R and the list, so please take what I say accordingly!Far as I can see, strptime gives you a string in some specified format. In order to do any kind of numerically-based modelling with that, you need to obtain a number to work with. One way to do this is by getting the time with Sys.time() instead and coercing it to a number using as.integer():> as.integer(Sys.time())I

Silent smbfs hardlock
Hi, Tonight I managed to sliently hardlock my linux box with windows. I had mounted (some hours before) a rw smb share from a win95 machine via: smbmount \\\\hemlock\\c somepass -c 'mount /mnt/samba/hemlock/c/' Some hours later I went to shutdown the windows machine (for the night) in the middle of lwn and returned to my linux machine a minute later to finish off reading lwn, and found

Organizing a Pre Astricon road trip
Hi All, I am cross posting this to the Asterisk Users, Biz, and Dev lists at the suggestion of David Duffet, so sorry if you see it multiple times. As this year Astricon is in Orlando, and most of us are tech geeks in on form or another, we are trying to organize a road trip to see NASA's Kennedy Space Center. I have been in touch with their group sales office and was told that there is a

Outgoing trunk is restricted to g.729 but need ulaw
Hi, I am taking over an asterisk system from another person and having an issue where a sip trunk is restricting the outgoing codecs to just g.729 I am dialing in from a Cisco 7960. The Invite from the Cisco has the folowing M line: m=audio 17022 RTP/AVP 18 0 8 101. So it is allowing g.729, ulaw and alaw. Asterisk is tandeming the call out over a SIP trunk sip.conf tandem trunk config:

Whats the best way to do this?
I have an archive that can have 0 or more extra files associated with it. I would like to be able to edit the associated files info on the same page as the archive info. Listing the extra files info to the edit form is simple enough, but How do I form the text input fields for easy (or automatic) pick-up in the update? Or am I barking up the wrong tree here? -- Posted via

No Audio Control Panel Implemented
After hours of searching, I give up and will ask for directions. runing wine 1.1.27 on Ubuntu 9.04 on a T-23 Thinkpad using the onboard sound card and a Plantronics DSP-500 headset. After days of searching I finally got both to work, but limitation in Ubuntu will not allow both to work at the "same time". One or the other. Plantronics only works in a mixed mode ALSA and OSS
