The scenario where device attach fails is not the problem - you can get the same level of reliabilty to that by simply updating the global metadata before & after hotplug in the same way. What is difficult is when libvirt fails to persist the XML config on disk or when libvirt crashes part way through the operation, and other akward failure scenarios unrelated to QEMU itself. ultra-cheap asterisk box
hi all what about this... I just put together a box on a web shop (komplett.no) that will cost me NOK ~1850 (? 216) plus a small ?50 drive and cables, so say ?300. This consists of a cheap MB with a duron 1400, 256MB SDRAM and two HFC-PCI cards (if capijod will finish off the zaptel-driver soon). This is all in a cheap PC case. What do you think? Should this be doable? as a product? With only IP

SSD format/mount parameters questions
For using SSDs: Are there any format/mount parameters that should be set for using btrfs on SSDs (other than the "ssd" mount option)? General questions: How long is the ''delay'' for the delayed alloc? Are file allocations aligned to 4kiB boundaries, or larger? What byte value is used to pad unused space? (Aside: For some, the erased state reads all 0x00, and for

PLSR: model notation and reliabilities
...dation for the moment) : MyModel <- plsr(Y1+Y2+Y3 ~ ((D1a+D1b+D1c)*m1) + ((D2a+D2b+D2c)*m2),ncomp=2) or : Y <- cbind(Y1,Y2,Y3) X1 <- cbind(D1a,D1b,D1c) X2 <- cbind(D2a,D2b,D2c) MyModel <- plsr( Y ~ (X1*m1) + (X2*m2),ncomp=2) How do I calculate the internal composite reliabilty (ICR) ? Is the Average variable explained (AVE) the mentioned as "% variance explained" in summary ? I tried something like (the model is the first notation mentioned above, and the calcualtions below are simplified just for clarity) : ncomp=MyModel$ncomp P <- MyModel$loadings[,...

Red Alarm
Hi list, Sometimes I receive a Red Alarm in my E1 trunk (E&M immediate start signaling), and just few seconds after this, all alarms are cleared. This problem ocurrs many times/day, and if are calls in progress, these calls just hang-up. Could it be an asterisk bug? Or may I contact the PSTN provider? Thanks Eduardo

Is Samba Shadowcopying can be used in Production Environement with more than 20 TB of data
Hi Friends, I am currently using Samba on Centos 4.4 as a domain member of AD 2003 with each user having a quota of 2GB(no of users is around 2,000). Now the management wants to increase the quota to 10GB with this there will be more than 20TB of data to be backup weekly which will take lots of hours. Currently Veritas backup software is used to backup data on tapes. There is a concept of

ultra-cheap asterisk box -> sorta OT, more a bout Dell
...:32 AM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] ultra-cheap asterisk box I'm looking to do about the same thing, build very low cost systems. (I'm looking at putting Asterisk at some non-profit organizations.) but one thing you can't make a compromise on is reliabilty. It has to work and keep working for years to come. I was able to keep the price of a new PC to about $300 ad still use an ASUS mainboard and an AMD XP2600+ The trick is to add absolutly nothing not needed. No floppy, no CDROM so you can run off a 200W P/S. Next I'll experiment with a noteb...

[Weft QDA users] working on team using weft
Hi all! I am Angela, an Italian researcher and I am looking for an application that allows working in team, making a shared codebook, share a text database and code it. I tried AnSWR (the CDC''s QDA application) but its installation is too complicated for students and it is not working on latest version of Windows. What about Weft? Is it possible to share a project or, at least, merge
