icecast2 relaying question
I understand there are two types of relays in icecast2. The master
relay which relays everything from a source and a point relay which
relays a specific mount point from a source.
I have a server which has 3 streams. I want to relay 2 of them. How
can I do this?
Can I define two relays and two mountpoints within the xml config file?
Do i do this in the same relay tag:

Fallback on-demand relay problem
We found an interesing issue that after a downed publishing point is
restored, the fallback relay doesn't stop relaying. We've tried everything,
but once /asf2 or /asf3 is envoked for /asf1 fallback reasons, they don't
stop relaying their source streams even though the output stream /asf1 has
returned to normal. Eventually we end up with /asf2 relaying indefinately

sendmail on Centos 7.7
Hi All,
I am 'trying' to set SMART_HOST in sendmail to point to smtp-relay.gmail.com
but when looking at the /var/log/maillog its going to mx203.inbound-mx.net.
[192.110.255.243],
why???
my line from sendmail.mc
define(`SMART_HOST', `smtp-relay.gmail.com')
I did make in /etc/mail and service sendmail restart
This is the only SMART_HOST in the config file. I started with the

Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
The relaying-configuration seems to be straight-forward, unfortunately it
does not work. That's my configuration:
<relays-on-demand>1</relays-on-demand>
<relay>
<server>http://mp3stream7.apasf.apa.at</server>
<port>8000</port>
<mount>/</mount>
<local-mount>/oe3.mp3</local-mount>

In the Icecast configuration file, there is a

What is it for?
I have multiple Icecast server that relay each others and the relays are

close open relay
hi all, running centos 4.7 i686.
I seem to have an o pen r elay sendmail server.
How do I close it?
I have the STRAIGHT centos install sendmail.mc file.
Only thing I changed was:
dnl DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')dnl
so as to allow incoming email and not just localhost. however this seems
to relay everyone.
I looked at http://www.sendmail.org/tips/relaying but it

a shoutcast server. Various posts say that you must start with shoutcast
server and use icecast as the relay. (I don't want to do this because we
already have a perl script written to work with ices and I don't want to
have to redo it to work with shoutcast. It looks feasible but will still
be quite a bit of work because there is no state saved between calls
from shoutcast. In ices,

Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
Hi All,
Will this also bounce new connections to the relay server once the master server is maxed out?

shoutcast to icecast2 issues
btw i just noticed that the icecast2 relay sounds fine in whamb (mac os
x mp3/ogg client). so it does seem that some clients don't have the
problem. here's the relay configs we're using:
<relay>
<server>server.to.be.relayed</server>
<port>8000</port>
<mount>/</mount>

Fallback
Hi,
I'm trying the following settings but it seams that it's not working :(
While I try to switch down the server a, the fallback is not used.
The "/letsgozik-HiQ-backup" is working (localy). An idea ?
<relay>
<server>a</server>
<port>xxxxxxx</port>

shoutcast to icecast2 issues
relaying a shoutcast stream via icecast2 is pretty much unlistenable --
it constantly stutters.
for example,
shoutcast relay -- http://205.188.234.1:8030/listen.pls
icecast2 relay -- http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/sf-hifi.mp3.m3u

Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
You can set globally with the <relays-on-demand>1</relays-on-demand> in the
global <icecast/> section, or you can configure per-relay with <on-demand>.
You can find it in the sample config file. (Does not say much more.)

Can't get Master/ Server Relay to work
Karl,
Thanks for the info... I didn't realize (from the docs) that you had to have
<mount>s defined on the master for the slave to pick them up.
One more question. Can I use both the Intro option and the Relay option?
If so do I define <mounts> on the slave and include the into option on the
slave?

Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
Ah, ok Satz, I did not know that's right :(
Now I am trying:
<server>194.232.200.156</server>
<port>8000</port>
<mount>/listen.pls</mount>
<local-mount>/oe3.mp3</local-mount>
... but I do not get the mountpoint "oe3.mp3" in

May be something related with the extension "pls" ?.

relay backup file
Hi,
I have install 2 Icecast servers.
We not using master relay. But we use specific mountrelay for fallback:
server1 - pc1 encoder over dsl
server2 - pc2 encoder over cable internet
We use the same mountpoints on both icecast servers and use the failback
to a relay mountpoint from the other server.
Works fine when we shutdown pc1 or pc2 there is on both icecast server

Relays Ending With "Disconnecting source due to socket timeout"
Greetings:
I use Icecast 2.4.0 on Windows 8.1. I have a config file which sets up
roughly a dozen relays to connect on demand.
My typical use is to connect to 1-4 of the streams simultaneously. All
connections are either via WinAmp to 127.0.0.1 or via other clients on
my LAN. My intent is to leave the connections active for up to 72 hours.
When I connect through my relays, eventually the
