cant login to fileserver
hello,
i migrate a NT4 to ad.
User can login with AD username and can connect to share on DC.
When i try to connect to the fileserver via windows i get access denied.
connect from dc1 to fileserver via smbclient does work.
on the fileserver:
- wbinfo -u show user
- wbinfo -P succeeded
- wbinfo -g show groups
- wbinfo -a Administrator succeeded
- pam-auth-update -> kbr, unix, winbind
nsswitch

Win2K Terminal Server and roaming profiles issue
I have been using Samba 2.2 with LDAP as a PDC for a domain for over a year in a gradeschool setting. Recently, users have been having problems with roaming profiles not working. And not all users, just some. I have applied the policy fix for CompatibleRUPSecurity, along with other suggestions, but I still get 'the profile cannot be loaded', Access is denied message for somce users. I

Ont to try on the pc your testing.
Disable ipv6 ( just remove the checkmark dont remove it. ) from the network adapter.

I have a setup with this admx, i completely disabled ipv6 in my lan.
And as Rowland also is telling..

Hi all,
I've been fighting with joining my samba server (debian) to my active directory domain for 4 days now. The problem here is that users in my active directory domain on windows machines are not able to browse my samba shares without being prompted for authentication.
I can:
- Join the domain from samba server using net ads
- View list of tickets when brownsing window shares with
