NSS interface lists all domain users but gives error on single user
...rkgroup = AGENZIA
idmap config agenzia : range = 8000-20000
idmap config agenzia : backend = rid
idmap config * : range = 3000-7999
idmap config * : backend = tdb
As you may see, the uids given by wbinfo and getent are in the correct
range.
I do not know how to better debug the problem: I have reised "log
level" in smb.conf but no logging is done during the getent execution.
Thank you,
Giuseppe

Restricting Services (POP or IMAP)
It would be great to have a HOWTO in the wiki, on how to restrict
services by username in dovecot, so some users are allowed IMAP
and others not allowed.
As concerns restricting users by IP, I believe that is a bad idea.
It's almost a useless idea, imnsho, because they can connect from
another IP.
It's easy to restrict services by IP using a firewall or by using
inetd.

There isn't anything wrong there.

What does 'wbinfo -U 10182' return ?
The last number should be 2182

large files
I'm reposting this problem (perhaps a bug) now I've got more information on
it. This is another point of view of the situation and I hope someone could
have run into the same trouble before (and solved it :-))
This is it:
* with ntbackup 2000 I create a 22Gb .bkf file in the windows machine.
* I can copy that file over a samba share and get correct info form the
file in windows
