New qemu source drop with improved kqemu module
I have uploaded a current source drop from the qemu subversion repository,
to the download area. Additionally, there is a new Kernel kqemu module
that will allow a 32-bit guest to run on a 64-bit host.
The current source base uses a different code generator from the orignial
Dyngen one. The new one is called "TCG" for "The Code Generator" and

Managing bigger scripts
Hello,
I''m scratching my head as to the best way to plug in a script to do some
client configuration. The script is about 40 lines long (full of basic
instructions to fiddle with VCS in fact).
Lots of execs would seems cumbersome. My thoughts are to simply install
this to the client (via the fileserver) and exec out to it.
Does this seem sensible? And if so, be aware of things like

people assumed they were distributing Red Hat's product, unmodified. They were
not and actually distributing a radically different version that was heavily modified.
I even had this discussion with a guy who hates RPM and Red Hat, a...

restoring system
I have restored my home directory in the past using rsync but never the
entire system. If I rsync / (on my usb drive containing the backup) to /
on the computer with a fresh install of the OS, what problems will I run
into? What about links? I am presently triple booting 3 linux distros and
want to delete one to install something else. The distro I'm installing
will be on 3 partitions (/,

[PATCH libnbd] copy: Allowing copying from NBD server to NBD server.
This patch is a straightforward refactoring of libnbd?s nbdcopy
program, and not very interesting.
However I have plans for nbdcopy (see full todo below). I would like
to use this utility for virt-v2v as a replacement for ?qemu-img convert?.
qemu-img has caused us a series of problems:
- change in zeroing behaviour caused a big performance regression
- qemu-img reads extents up-front which
