The Windows machine is called xerxes on which the C dir is shared, and there is /mnt/xerxes/ on the Linux box. Hello, I'm having problems to join a japanese W2K Client with SrvPck 2 installed to my samba 2.2.5 PDC controlled domain. Other Clients are no problem (Win98, W2k engl., WXP german). I check the regKey (for plaintextpassword; set to 1). Reinstalled SevPck 2, but didn't help. the problem must be on Client side because I having the same problem when jooining a other samba controlled Domain with this box. I ran smbd with debug levels 1,2,3,4 and 10 but this didn't tell very much about this...

In the Microsoft documentation, it is specified that the auditing must be enabled, but Samba can't support it. It is also specified that a regkey must be set to 1 ; how to do it in Samba ? Thanks.
