I want to shaping FTP traffic.
...g FTP traffic. I can get following information from Stef Coene's Homepage, www.docom.org. "Ftp uses random ports, so matching the data traffic is not easy. However it can done if you use iptables to mark ftp-data packets and use that mark with the fw filter. For more info see http://home.regit.org/connmark.html. " General information about the conntrack module can be found here. but i can't connect to http://home.regit.org/connmark.html Is there anybody who know how to shaping FTP traffic? ,S f¢–)à–+-ü°L)šŠYšÛ=jya¶Úþf¢–f§vÏZž_æj)fjåŠËbú?•ªíps–Lèm¶Ÿÿ•ªírŠà

Questions regarding CONNMARK
Hi there, i have some questions regarding CONNMARK and STRING modules for netfilter. I have a stateful firewall doing contraking, because i have two dsl connections doing load balancing. I have found a way to discriminate KaZaA traffic flowing via port 80 from normal HTTP traffic using the string match. I want to mark a kazaa connection and filter ir to a specific qdisc. Crazy IP-Communication
Hi there, in a specal case I want to send IP packets from one IP address to another IP address on the same multihomed linux box. The problem is, that the packets should leave the box by passing one ethernet interface, go through a hub/switch and get back into the box via the second interface. Well, this sounds crazy. Anyway, does anyone know a solution? Bernd

upload vs download
I have a tc script which splits the bandwidth in 8 leaf classes based on IP filtering. The script looks like this: tc filter add dev $LAN_IFACE protocol ip parent 1:0 prio 1 u32 match ip dst 192.168.0.121 flowid 1:11 The separation works excellent for downloads, but for uploads, it is ignored... Can you tell me how to deal with it? Thanks in advance, Vlad Mihai

[Bridge] Problem with Routed mode using br2684ctl tool
Hi, I am writing this email in sincere hope that somebody experienced similar/same problem and found solution to it. The classical bridge setup could be achieved using brctl tool, which could be found at: http://home.regit.org/br2684.html I have an ADSL CO line card Linux based [2.4.24 kernel] with 8 nas interfaces and eth0. Rather than having bridge, the decision was to have a router, which does routing functionality between nasx interfaces and eth0. >From user space, setting up a bridge connection is quite sim...

network application problem
Installed BuddyTalk Dialer (VoIP client). It was requested mfc42.dll which I was download and put in system32. After running it could not regiter with server. Probably because it is incorrectly create udp socket. it listen UDP port 8481 on 255.255.255.255 address instead of 0.0.0.0 which linux kernel usually listen. I use kernel 2.6.17-10-386 Ubuntu edgy 6.10 here a netstat output winehost:~$ netstat -an|grep udp|grep 8481 udp 0...

regcontext, NoOp extension vanishes when extension reload and doesn't come back
...ion is made to the extension.conf and a >reload extension is performed, those dynamically created extensions in the regcontext vanish. Now this is ok, I understand why they vanish, but the strange thing is they don't come back when the sip device registration time expires. If I set the max regiter time of the device to be 60 seconds, after 60 seconds the phone sends another registration to the server, but since the user is already cached in, the NoOp priority 1 extension does not get re-created in the regcontext. I must perform a >reload chan_sip.so, wait till the new registration hits...
