Samba is now a logon server for workgroup ... on subnet 127.0.0.1
I just finished setting up a Linux RedHat 6.1 system with Samba 2.0.5a. I cannot browse the system from a Windows Nt Domain, but I can browse it just fine from another Linux samba system... [LLVMdev] adding support for -ffixed-<reg>
...Treat the register named reg as a fixed register; generated code should never refer to it (except perhaps as a stack pointer, frame pointer or in some other fixed role). reg must be the name of a register. The register names accepted are machine-specific and are defined in the REGISTER_NAMES macro in the machine description macro file. Useful when writing kernel code or other low-level code (e.g. a VM) where you want to reserve a particular register for your own use. I setup the samba server to be a wins server on my network when ever I browse the network it takes for ever to come up and sometimes it takes awhile to even to bring up the share or I don't see them. I am using lmhost on win xp system and the linux system for dns. When ever I do restart on the samba server it gives me this error. (shutting down nmb services ./smb: line 201: kill (6442) - no

Ya, I saw people writing VM often ask for this functionality on ML. But I have a quest...

How about this option for nmbd?
Hi, please imagine the following scenario: We have 4 local samba networks consisting of multiple samba machines and Win95 and NT machines as well. They all talk to each other and all works well. We have one central (samba) WINS server for all 4 nets. These 4 nets are connected together and communicate to the outside world through a firewall. Now I want to connect to exactly one share on the

[LLVMdev] Named register variables GNU-style
Folks, I just had a discussion about __builtin_stack_pointer in the GCC list, and there were a number of arguments against it, and it got me thinking I didn't have strong arguments against GNU's named register extension. Does anyone remember the arguments for not implementing that extension? My view is that making it an intrinsic (say @llvm.register(name)) would have the exact same

[LLVMdev] adding support for -ffixed-<reg>
I'm adding support for -ffixed-<reg> <http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/Code-Gen-Options.html#index-ffixed-1435> for Hexagon and was wondering if I should do it in such a way that other targets get the support as well by default or if a given target back-end should have to explicitly opt-in for support. Any opinions? Matthew Curtis. -- Qualcomm Innovation Center,
