SOA record in Samba Internal DNS
...r the domain still points at that first DC.
I found, in this entry from 2014 (
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2014-August/184301.html) that
"Windows AD servers actually 'lie' about the SOA record, and always say
that it points to themselves. So in a native microsoft AD network,
regardsless of what the SOA actually is in the database, a DC always
returns itself as SOA."
So how should this be handled now? Do I need to manually keep track of
which DC I want to reference with the SOA record, or is there a better way ?

OpenSSH server doesn't log client disconnect without SSH_MSG_DISCONNECT
...?
We need to decide whether to promote these log messages to INFO.

I don't think they need to. I think it's fair that we log connections
that are terminated regardsless of how graceful the termination was.
E.g. why shouldn't we log connections that drop because the peer
process got SIGINT or the TCP connection dropped before sending a
SSH2_MSG_DISCONNECT?

I will wait for the final verdict then. Thanks for letting me know.

How to let rsync detect file RENAMEs
...es.
Now I rename in one of the directory trees a file from aaa.txt to bbb.txt
How EXACTLY can I tell rsync to synchronize the other directory tree.
That means that in the other partner directory tree the missing file should be deleted and the new, renamed file should be copied?
This should work regardsless on which side/partner dir tree the rename took place.
Which parameters do I have to use?
Thank you
Ben

Multiple SIPGate accounts.
Hi all,
I have two sipgate accounts (numbers), if I have both accounts register only
one will work for incoming calls (which is all i'm interested in). However
if I disable either account the other account will work perfectly. Am I
missing something obvious?
Thanks in advance,
Ray.
