defaults in R: packages, .Rhistory
With the current version (rw1070), every time I start R it loads a whole
bunch of packages, many of which I do not need in a typical session:

Upstream 6.2
As much as I hate to be the bearer of news, I saw over 400 updates this morning on my upstream 6.1 box.... checking the upstream website, yeah, EL6.2 is out, at least for updates. I didn't see ISO's in my subscribed channel yet, though.
I figured someone would notice soon enough.
So before anyone goes into flame mode, think about the difficulties that have faced the CentOS developers in

[LLVMdev] Server Restart: Adding New Certificate
Dear All,
Some of you may have noticed that our SSL certificate expired about half
an hour ago. We have a new SSL certificate, but we haven't had time to
install it.
I am going to attempt to install the new certificate. This will
necessitate one server restart if I am successful and probably two if
I'm not.
Chances are that you will not notice any disruption, but if you're the

Log Level and Failed Authentication Attempts
Hello Samba Friends,
For those of you who have had to sift through Samba logs for clues on how to determine what caused an account to lock after repeated failed logon attempts, what "log level" settings have you found to be most helpful?
Thanks,
Matthew

tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME
Let me start off by apologizing for this rambling post. I have been working on this problem all day and have not gotten anywhere.
This is my first time working with samba and I have been tasked to set up a share that does not require a password for access. I have been tinkering with the configuration file but I cannot get it to work. Here is my current smb.conf file that I have:

Error Upgrading Schema
Thanks for taking a shot at helping me, Rowland. I found that someone had made this suggestion for another person in the past, so I ran this command before reaching out on Monday:
> ldbsearch -H /var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb -b "CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,$(echo "DC=$(hostname -d)" | sed 's/\./,DC=/g')" -s base objectVersion | grep 'objectVersion' | awk

Error Upgrading Schema
In general we do not allow the removal of schema.
In particular, because records in samba are stored under the attribute
name, removing schema or renaming schema items describing those
attributes and objectclasses can mean records cannot be processed
correctly.
However, if you confirm you really have exactly the entry already in
the schema, you could edit the new schema not to add that

2.2.5, Sol 2.8, W2k - Printers...Status: Access Denied unable to connect - ??
hi
When I highlight a printer icon in Win 2K, the Status bar shows
Status: Access Denied, Unable to connect.
It shows this for all samba printers.
I can print a test page even though it shows access denied.
Anyone know how to fix this?
thanks.

fedora 19 + libvirt-1.0.5.9 routing problems
Hi,
I am an experienced libvirt user on Fedora versions from F15 to F17.
I have developped scripts to route trafic from outside on multiple
interfaces/multiples IPs to multiple VMs, and back to affect each VM the
required external IP address.
I have servers with more than hundreds external IPs, and up to 4 VMs,
each of them route trafic on different external IPs.
I have servers with Fedora

Sieve
Hello,
Im newbie at sieve. I have a nice script running on my boxes,
and I have the following question:
Using Sieve,
is there a RULE to find out if String "MYTESTSTRING"
is ANYWHERE inside the Email, or ANYWHERE inside the HEADER at least --
in order to trigger actions like "discard;" consequently ?
Thank you so much in advance

Error Upgrading Schema
Andrew,
I feel that it is your prerogative to determine how many odd possibilities you want your tools to account for, so that they might know what to do rather than exit with an error. You have a better sense for how likely it is that someone in the wild is altering their schema and might have changed an already existing attribute, as it seems I did.
If you'd allow me to impose upon your

The 2.6 code freeze is tomorrow, August 21st, at 9pm PDT.
Please refrain from checking in any changes that are major or
invasive. This is not the time to be checking in as much as you can
because you are trying to cram it into the release. Those who do not
use caution with what they commit, may find their commit privileges
restricted around the next release.
I'm going to stress this

[LLVMdev] Web Server Restart
Dear LLVMers,
I'll be restarting the LLVM web server in about 15 minutes (3:30 pm
Central Time). It's a small web server configuration change, so it'll
be a quick restart. For paranoia's sake, please refrain from doing SVN
commits starting at 3:30.
I'll email once the web server is back online.
