[LLVMdev] Pony Language: LLVM Project
Dear LLVM community, I am affiliated with the design and development of the Pony<http:/www.ponylang.org> programming language, which was recently published and has since been discussed on hacker news<https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9482483>, reddit [1]<http://www.reddit.com/r/ponylang>

Interesting Reddit post on SMB multichannel with Samba.
I hang out in the "DataHoarders" subreddit :-). https://old.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/8fxtxf/10gig_look_how_fast_i_am_smb_multichannel_hold_my/ Should be interesting for anyone doing performance work, although the smb.conf settings are somewhat "voodoo" (from old configs). Jeremy.

Puppet on Reddit
I figured I''d take to time to remind you guys of the r/puppet subreddit: <http://www.reddit.com/r/puppet> I''m hoping to see it grow more in the lead-up to PuppetConf, mostly because I want to see some interesting blog posts and such before September ;) Cheers - R. Comments in LLVM blog
Hi! I think that comments section will help people to organize the Q&A in the same webpage. But it also leads to spam as you said, However, I don't have any strong rationale for enabling them :) Thanks for your reply Chris! Comments in LLVM blog
Hi: Since you mentioned this, I was wondering if Chris or someone else could take over the existing /r/LLVM and make it an official forum or something. In that case we had Reddit’s anti-spam measures in place and probably a better forum-like experience. Mailing list could be really disturbing occasionally Zhang > On 26 Mar 2018, at 18:22, Praveen Velliengiri via llvm-dev <llvm-dev at

vfs fruit requires filesystem with extended attributes support?
Why do you want TM to work over samba? Not sure it is supported completely by Apple although they did have developer documentation on it at one time: https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/releasenotes/NetworkingInternetWeb/Time_Machine_SMB_Spec/ I did see this on reddit, but have not tried it personally:

acts_as_rateable in Beast
I''m trying to implement acts_as_rateable to my Beast installation to give users the option to rate posts (like reddit). I chose acts_as_rateable as it supposedly easily allows reddit-type voting but I''m having some problems setting it up and the documentation seems outdated. (http://www.juixe.com/techknow/index.php/2006/07/05/acts-as-rateable-plugin/) So far, I''ve

Problems with OS X 10.11.5
Hello, I just wanted to check in on this list and see what folks know about the new severe performance problems with OS X 10.11.5. There's a comment on Reddit claiming that 10.11.5 is requiring SMB signing, but I haven't found documentation on that. I myself saw performance on my 10 GbE go from 800 MB/s on 10.11.4 to 60 MB/s on 10.11.5. My NAS is running Samba 4.3.6 on FreeNAS, which is

Tinc on PFSENSE box can join mesh, share keys, connect out, but doesn't reply to pings or connections
I've tried IRC in #tinc and #pfsense on freenode for this, not luck yet, figured I'd try the mailing list. A summary of my problem is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PFSENSE/comments/789xus/tinc_vpn_can_do_everything_but_be_accessed/ If there are any details I can provide that would help I'll be more than happy to. I'm hoping it will be something obvious that someone can say

Conventions: Use of globals and main functions
In R scripts (as opposed to packages), even in reproducible scripts, it seems fairly conventional to use the global workspace as a sort of main function, and thus R scripts often populate the global environment with many variables, which may be mutated. Although this makes sense given R has historically been used interactively and this practice is common for scripting languages, this appears to

Centos User Privileges.
Hi list, I've installed C 7.1.1503 and I've noticed that simple user can run from bash shutdown -h now/reboot without getting special permission (sudo, su). The machine is a VM without GUI (tested also on physical machine). From reddit I've got a suggestion: removing/comment out "-session optional pam_systemd.so" in /etc/pam.d/system-auth the problem is solved. This is a

Cpp-Markdown 1.00
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm happy to announce that the Cpp-Markdown project is now available. Cpp-Markdown is a Markdown-to-HTML translator written in C++, and meant for use within C++ programs (rather than web applications). The code is still a little rough around the edges, but the results are pretty good: it passes all 23 tests in the Markdown test suite, and 12 of
