[LLVMdev] optimizing references within a struct
There is an optimization which the Greenhills compiler does for mips16.
I have not looked at it myself ,but it was recounted to me.
The basic idea is that if you have a large struct, rather than
reference each element from the base of the struct, it's possible to
chose some optimal point(s) that are not at the beginning of the struct
and use as the base to reference elements of the struct.
This particularly o...

It's a long and ugly story, which I'm not going to recount. If you're
really interested, I'm sure you can find the answer in the archives.

Can't run winbind and nscd. sssd does a better job of what nscd does

How to run a .reg file?
Hi,
I need to run a .reg file.
In windows, I think I'd just double click on it. If I try to run it in wine, it says it's not a valid executable. How do I run it?

Mongrel 0.3.13.3 -- Ruby Licensed Release
Hello Everyone,
This is the official 0.3.13.3 release of Mongrel.
Mongrel is now released under the *Ruby license* instead of the LGPL.
I''m hoping this increases the adoption of Mongrel even further and
hopefully I can start pushing to get Mongrel included in Ruby directly.
INSTALL
As usual, you install it with your friendly gem install method of
choice:
gem install mongrel

opie bug or ..?
...ut here
login hangs and there is _no_way_ to login remotely because
pam_opie.so is the top line of pam.conf
After about 1-2 minutes timeout it just says "Connection closed by 192.168.90.250"
*** 4 *** now just a question
(In case of fix) After 0 or 1 seq. number it should recount from the
beginning, for example from 499, but I think that seed should be
automatically changed in that case for next 500 iterations otherwise
that is not one-time-passwords
So... I think that is not good ... or am I mistaken?

mongrel_cluster clarification
Apologizes in advance if this sounds rather dense, but I want to make sure
I''m understanding everything correctly. We''re in the process of migrating
from Apache2.0/FastCGI to Apache2.0+mongrel (why not 2.2? that story is too
long and too uninteresting to recount here, but I will tell you that it
involves RHEL and only using RHN rpms).
The init script that comes with mongrel (when configured correctly for your
system) will act on each app that you configure in /etc/mongrel_cluster/.
So, at system boot all of your configured clusters will start.

Experiences With NUT Eaton & Cyberpower UPS
I watched the recent discussions of "issues" with an Eaton Ellipse UPS with some interest.
I use the US version of that UPS, the Ellipse Pro 1500 in my case. I had not encountered many of the issues recounted in those discussions. The Login Failure message is not unique to that UPS as I have seen it with my Cyberpower units. The polling setting also had me wondering as I have never had to alter that variable. In short, the entire discussion left me wondering/puzzled.
In my own case I have found Eaton...
