HP-UX and trusted system
Hi, is it possible to have only _one_ openssh binary distribution (it means compiled by myself) wich recongnizes itself wether there is an trusted system or not? With the commerfial stuff I have to build to variants dependeing on the security mode - but this is quite not friendly for admins. problems with analog interface to PBX
...on (via IAX). The first problem I ran into was that the Flash application doesn't really work. To get around this I added another x100p to dial the new extension. The problem I ran here was that even though I specified in the Dial app to just dial for 30 seconds, it rang forever as if * cannot recongnize that no one had picked up. Asterisk does seem to detect hangups and busy tones (I have busydetect=yes and busycount=10) Am I trying to do something that the x100p is not capable of? Would making changes to the indications.conf help at all? 2) I would also like to use * for voicemail. The use...

USB Stick Install
Hello all, I'm looking at setting up a sort of 'appliance' server and as such its really not going to have a lot packages etc. I thought of installing 4.2 on a 1gb USB stick, however, the stick is not even recongnized by anaconda. It did appear when I did 'modprobe usb-storage.ko' as /dev/sdc (i have already have 2 SATA disks which are sda, sdb). Then the disk partitioner does not allow me to install on the USB stick, its not even listed as an available drive. Does anyone have any redhat/centos exper...

Scanning tab-separated numbers
I want to paste in the following numbers into a scan: 0.023 0.032 0.054 0.069 0.081 0.094 0.105 0.127 0.148 0.169 0.188 0.216 they are separated by tabs alone, unless my mailer has done something to the tabs. Now have a look at this: > scan() 1: 0.0230.0320.0540.0690.0810.094 1: 0.1050.1270.1480.1690.1880.216 Error in scan() : "scan" expected a real, got

[LLVMdev] why LoopUnswitch pass does not constant fold conditional branch and merge blocks
...aining loop (%loop_begin) in the result actually contains a trivial unswitch condition (on %cond2), which should always unswitch because there is no code growth. However, because the branch in loop header is not constant folded and %continue is not merged into %loop_begin, LoopUnswtich pass can not recongnize the trivial unswitch condition (in the current implementation, trivial unswitch condition must be loop header’s terminator). If this is the last LoopUnswtich pass in the optimization pipeline, we will miss the trivial unswitch opportunity. So would it be reasonable to add branch constant foldi...

Sweavelistingutil: Encoding problems
...a bug or lack of R experience. However, I am using your Sweavelistingsutil package, which is very nice. Obviously I use it to create LaTeX files. These are encoded in utf8. However, when I use the Sweavelistingsutil is uses some funky character for "`" and "'" that is not recongnized. Here is an example from my tex-file: ,---- | Signif. codes: 0 ?***? 0.001 ?**? 0.01 ?*? 0.05 ?.? 0.1 ? ? 1 `---- When comping this I get the following error: ,---- | ERROR: Package inputenc Error: Unicode char | \u8:\lst at FillFixed@\lst at EC not set up `---- There is /no problem/ wh...

prod(numeric(0)) surprise
It surprised me that prod(numeric(0)) is 1. I guess if you say (operation(nothing) == identity element) this makes sense, but ?? Looking in the code, this makes sense: basically (s=1; for i=0 to length(x), multiply s by x[i]) -- which comes out to 1. What *should* prod(numeric(0)) produce? I couldn't find the answer documented anywhere. (And how about sum(numeric(0))==0, which for

Intel 965 Chipset on 4.4 ?
I have a nice new 965 chipset mobo with core 2 duo cpu. I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with this chipset and CPU with 4.4 ? Does the jmicron sata/pata interface work ? Are both cores recongnized with the right kernel ? Does EIST work ? Or should I wait for Centos 5 ? Cheers, Brian.

Re: Extracting files from OVA is bad
...regards the disk as invalid. I fixed the issues and sent patches to QEMU [1][2]. Quickly somebody commented [3] that doing this in qemu-nbd is not the right idea and it should be done in the raw driver... > Alternatively, you can make one layer less if you teach QEMU raw block > driver to recongnize offset and length options. > > Roman. ... that is something what Roman suggested from the start. It'll be more complicated than fixing qemu-nbd, but I gave it a shot. I have sent the first version [4] of that to QEMU. I would expect it going in right away, there's still some wor...

3.0.7/LDAP/referrals...
AIX 5.2 OpenLDAP 2.2.15 Samba 3.0.7 (no winbindd) I've got a stupid problem with referrals that I can't seem to ferret out. Each Samba DC has a localhost-based LDAP replica for scalability (my idea anyway). So the only way they will talk to the Master is if there is need for an update. Ok. If I make the updatedn the same as the rootdn of the replica, it updates the local database;

Pitch shift with RC2
I've just installed RC2 and I'm very excited about the quality. It's so much better than MP3. This is the first version I've used since I just found out about Ogg Vorbis. I did notice that very high frequencies seem to be missing but since not many people can hear much above 18 KHz it's not much of an issue. I suppose this resolves the hiss problem so prevalent in MP3.
