Please correct me if I'm wrong: My understanding is that until you reboot (after a kernel update), recompiling zap/dahdi still compiles against the OLD kernel, and that's why zap/dahdi doesn't start after rebooting into the new kernel (even if you recompiled it just before rebooting). So my question is: Is there a method to recompile dahdi/zap against the new kernel such that the only downtime is the actual server bounce itself? It seems that I need to -like - invalidate the recompiled function to force the MCJIT to recompile it, cause when I just call runFunction, it neglects any modifications in the function code. Hi all, I am thinking of extending a package by directly adding stuff to its C++ code. And then I have to recompile the package. Do I have to download the whole R source repository, in order to do the recompilation? What is the minimal setup requirement for such a recompilation? Objective: All web traffic originating from my proxy server should be forwarded through interface eth2 instead of the default eth0. The reply should take the same path back to the proxy server.
