Citation for R
This is just a note that R would get a lot more citations if the recommended citation was an article in a recognised journal or from a recognised publisher. I use R in work leading to publications often, and I strongly want to give the R core team credit for their work. However I find that I can't persuade my biological collaborators to include the current R citation (below) in their reference lists, becaus...

Maildir
I noticed in Cyrus they seem to address maildir++ recognised by IMAP. I need to know does Dovecot recognise this format? Procmail has an ability to deliver mails to different folders which if unrecognised renders the whole process useless. Does Dovecot have a similar deliver method? Thanks. -Walt

Recognising an unrecognisable scanner
I have to figure out how to use a scanner that sane doesn't officially recognise. Wine installed the twain software with no problems, and the apps come up just fine. The scanner drivers should be installed in wine, but I'm having some serious issues getting linux to recognise that there's a device connected. Is there any way to tell wine to see the device? If not, how would I pass

LDAP Supplementary Groups not recognised
...with ./configure --with-ldapsam --with-acl-support We have the samba server acting as a PDC with all user and machine accounts in LDAP as sambaAccounts. We are successfully adding Windows XP workstations to the PDC and authenticating users. However supplementary groups for users are not being recognised (i.e posixGroup entries with the user as a memberUid attribute). Only the primary group (from sambaAccount) is being recognised as shown in the log. This results in a permission denied when accessing a directory with only group permissions. Why isn't R recognising integers as numbers?
I have a number of files containing anywhere from a few dozen to a few thousand integers, one per record. The statement "refdata18 = read.csv("K:\\MerchantData\\RiskModel\\Capture.Week.18.csv", header = TRUE,na.strings="")" works fine, and if I type refdata18, I get the integers displayed, one value per record (along with a record number). However, when I try "

DTMF wrongly recognised
...39; What happens now is that to dial on my Cisco 7960, I would typically have to Dial 99# to get Asterisk to "make the call" - even though actually it's just patching me through to a dial tone. I then manually dial the number I want to dial relying on the DTMF from the phone to be recognised by the telco - hence the probable error I have. I dial like this because if I dial the full number (e.g. 923837654# for 23837654) - the Voicetronix card dials so quickly after going off hook that the telco doesn't even recognise the first few digits! 1. How can I pause dialing so that it d...

Basically what it says, you compiled Samba yourself > Can the Linux Mint side not > work well and the pen drivers not be recognised ? Yes, it shouldn't make any difference, the drives should be recognised, but it sounds like it isn't Samba that isn't recognising the drives, it is the OS. > > Yes, I compiled samba ad-dc for rocky Linux. virt-p2v not recognising Hard Disks of Server
Hello, I am trying to convert a physical server (10 year old hardware with PCI LSI Loging / Symbios LSI MegaRAID controller and SCSI drives, RAID 5 Configuration) into a Virtual Machine in oVirt (oVirt Version 4.1.8). Host to be converted has Fedora 5 OS. I have downloaded the virt-p2v.iso (Cent OS 7.3). I have prepared the conversion server, set it up as a VM in oVirt environment. I am able

X100P not recognised on FreeBSD system
I've just received an OEM Wildcard X100P FXO card. Installing into my FreeBSD 5.4-RELEASE box it doesn't appear to be recognised at all. Since it's the first time I've put a PCI card in this machine I've just dropped a Netgear ethernet card in to make sure there isn't something fundamentally wrong with the motherboard, but that works fine. Is there anything else I should check / try before assuming the X1...

Network cards not recognised
Hi, We have a HP DL385 G6 server that is having an issue. Two of the 4 network cards are not being recognised by Linux. We have quite a few other servers with the same hardware and no issues but, before I call HP, I would like to make sure that I am not doing anything wrong :) I have tried with the kernel that came with CentOS 5.5 and the updated one kernel-2.6.18-194.11.3. Autokey types a dir into open ile dialog but not recognised
I was playing with Autokey to automate the use of a Win app, but it seems that it is not recognising keystrokes properly. Not sure where the problem is. If I were to open Notepad, and then use keyboard.send_keys("<ctrl>+o"), it doesn't work but manually pressing the actual keys, it does. However using the same command for a native app (say firefox) it does work. So perhaps
