..., Now I started to write a driver that simulates continous power breaks. (E.g. in every 30 minutes.) This could be used for testing of setup of client upsmons. I have to simulate a behaviour of a real UPS. The physical model contains an extra attribute: the charging current that needed to compute recharge time and actual battery charge during the recharge process. Can we call this variable "battery.current.recharge"? Or should I put it into "driver.*" name space? Cheers Gabor

How to delay computer reboot until battery has recharged?
Hello all, I'm using Nut quite happily with my Powerware 9125 and 9115 UPSs. I'd like to delay restoring power to the computers after a loss of power shutdown until a reasonable battery charge has been restored, to prevent repeated shut downs in a brown out or storm situation. I know I read somewhere how to do this months ago, but now that I need to implement it, I can't seem

[LLVMdev] Recharging the batteries
Hi, I've noticed that http://llvm.org/status/ hasn't been updated for a while, so I tought that some of you might find the following information interesting and/or encouraging... For benchmarking the stuff I'm working on I needed to compile a number of open-source packages. The settings I used: AS=llvm-as lLD=llvm-ld AR=llvm-ar CXX=llvm-g++ CC=llvm-gcc CFLAGS="-g

Junda-tech
Hi, I have an UPS with only the marking D1000 on it and it came with Junda-Tech's UpsMate. Its USB id is 3344:0025, which is apparently a microprocessor. I've could get some of the HID interactions as described on the website, but there are some outstanding. Junda-Tech does not respond to any queries. Does anybody else have the same or a similar UPS with more information? What is the

...the kind of definite incentives in terms of using R on Android, but having an analytical engine on a mobile phone would allow for micro statistics to be collected from the log files reflecting number of calls dropped, average time spent talking, a time series of the amount of time taken for battery recharge, and a host of other information that could be collated and analyzed. R widgets could be created for analyzing the data streams from other apps running on the same device. Any thoughts/suggestions/information on this topic will be highly appreciated. kde failing???
...er, noticed clock off again, considered cause to be cmos battery failing. after removing ~30 screws and bottom cover, found that cmos batter was soldered to board. checked with dvom, voltage read 3.2v with main battery and charger removed. ran web search on tower box to find that cmos battery is a rechargeable 3.0 v battery and being that removing screws and cover took several minutes, with battery being up, cause must be elsewhere. note - noticed that a time problem was occurring just after tzdata update on 2016-1201. was not able to pursue further due to next problems. - part 2: unable to open...

...Flourescents @ 11w =110w Therefore total power=4410w Which leaves me with spare capacity of about 2590w (in theory). I think its the halogen lamps that is helping "smooth" out the power. Previously, when I ran the generator, I did not have the halogen lamps on, and the UPS failed to recharge. APC Smart-UPS 1500; system shutdown is not initiated.
Charles, the unit has two redundant power supplies, with only one hooked up to the UPS. So I should be able to do a deep test with the machine itself, right? I have tried it, but it aborts at some point... For the quick test, it discharges the battery a bit, then recharges, but once it is back to 100%, upsc still gives me: ups.test.result: No test initiated Is that expected? Question about startup script
Hello, I find in shutdown.txt file that before system boot after a power failure, it's better to check powerdown flag to be sure and pausing in the startup script to let the batteries recharge with filesystem. So i want to know which startup script is concerned? For the system or for nut? Thanks to explanation. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
