LDA and postfix with recipient delimiter: documentation
Just a comment about the documentation for postfix integration when using receipient delimiter and delivery of user+foo at domain.ext to user at domain: http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Postfix I had some issues to get this working, so thought I'd share my experience. Dovecot version 1.2.rc3. Postfix version postfix-2.7-20090511. I have no local (unix) mailboxes, everything is delivered to

need some help designing my threaded messaging system
Hi, I want to create a messaging system that recognizes threads of messages, not unlike gmail. So far I have these models: Conversation belongs_to :user has_many :messages Message belongs_to :conversation The problem I am running into is not only does a conversation belong to a user but the conversation also has a receipient user with his/her corresponding conversation. How would I

.../copy/migrate the current production data to the new servers? I am planning the following steps. Not sure if it is correct or not. 1. Stop the Postfix services on the old server and wait for few mins. So that no new emails will be coming to the old servers. Existing emails will be delivered to the receipients. 2. copy/migrate the data from old server to new servers. Please suggest what is the best way? 3. I see that dovecot version(2.0.9) in old production server, I do not know the which is the best option? see the options in the current version. ================================= [root at prodcution...

Help: How does one determine the length of an outbound/dialout MESSAGE to be delivered
Hi, We created a dial plan which performs and outbound dial out and deliveres a message to a receipient What call method/option in extensions or anywhere allow us to determine the length of the message. IE, what if a 3 minute message is attempted to be delivered and 45seconds into the call drops or is terminated by the end user. I need to know that the entire message was/was not delivered. What

Discard duplicate messages at delivery?
Hello, I am using dovecot 1.2.9, and the sieve plugin for filtering incoming messages into specific folders. The MTA is postfix, and deliver is called using the "mailbox_command = /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver" directive. Is it possible to make dovecot's deliver discard duplicate messages? With cyrus there is a duplicatesuppression directive which works well

List problem handling HTML E-mails?
My multiple postings to this list this morning got garbled in http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/, and don't come back from list. (e.g., http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2007-February/179315.html) I thought it was Hotmail, so I saved one outgoing mail and checked that it's correct. Anyone else experiencing same? Missing files on Windows client side.
In a directory with approximately 6000 files, several files are missing on the Windows side. If I check the directory on Unix (AIX) they are all there. As far as I can see there's nothing strange with this files en I can't see any connection between the missing files. It looks like it's randomly. A few examples of missing files: FAKTREF.10062005.16 (See debug information)

Fix list so it adds Reply-To: header
Could whomever is in charge of the lartc mailing list please change it to add the header: Reply-To: lartc@mailman.ds9a.nl Every other list I''m on is setup so that by default replies will go to the list. When replying to lartc emails I notice myself and others constantly forgetting this list does not behave like the rest, and that we have to either do a reply-to-all, or manually enter in

Distro and release recommended
Hi community, I'd like to deploy a SAMBA4 as a Active Directory Domain Controller. It's for around 30 domain users and 60 hosts. AFAIK CentOS package does not support AD DC role, I thought in Debian, but the release available in their repo's is 4.5.x. So would you recommend: - Compiling from sources? - To use backports - Choose some other distro? So, in short, what distro and

Jeremy, I think we found the part of source where the problem resides: smbd/trans2.c +1444 for (i=0;(i<maxentries) && !finished && !out_of_space;i++) { +1445 BOOL got_exact_match = False; +1446 +1447 /* this is a heuristic to avoid seeking the dirptr except when +1448 absolutely necessary.
