HP T/R2200 G2
Has anyone had any success with the HP T/R2200 G2? I have used the T/R2200 with nut a few times before and it works great, but the G2 doesn't want to talk to me. I have tried bcmxcp from 2.0.4, 2.2.2, and svn, as well as the usb drivers. Maybe the G2 isn't a rebadged powerware unit? Thanks James

Xyratex disk units
I am wondering if any one knows of a way to manage Xyratex disk shelves from CentOS (in particular CentOS 4). More details: Some years ago I installed a NAS unit from Exanet which consists of 2 rebadged IBM x3650 head nodes and a couple of Xyratex disk shelves with a total of 96 TB of raw disk, connected by fibre channel. The operating system is based on CentOS 4.4, but is modified, and runs a proprietary file system. It has pretty good performance and I'm happy with it. You may know that t...

OT: Replacing Venerable NAS
...000 for a diskless 4-bay NAS box when there are $300-500 boxes that are superficially similar from QNAP, Synology, and others: - ZFS. Modern cheap NAS boxes have gained some ZFS-like features (online expansion and such) but they?re still not ZFS. - FreeNAS. Many low-end NASes use proprietary or rebadged ODM management software that barely scrapes by in terms of features and support, whereas FreeNAS has a long-standing open source developer community behind it. - Much bigger CPU than is typical for the low-end NAS boxes. Many low-end NAS boxes have gigabit Ethernet ports, but if you don?t put e...

HP/Compaq T700H UPS cable pinout
Hello all, I have obtained a Compaq T700 H UPS sans-cable. My research indicates it would've come with a HP #201092-001 cable, and from previous posts on this list, it speaks upscode2, possibly being a rebadged Eaton unit. Any suggestions for cable pinouts I can try? Regards, Mathew McBride

Dlink dph-140s/ACT P104SLD
I'm still a learning but I purchased a dph-140s to test with AAH 1.5. I think this is a rebadged ACT P104SLD which others seem to have working with *. It seems to be configured and registered similarly to the softphones I've been using just fine, but it does not receive or send audio (it will send audio to vm), or perform the loopback test. It seems to signal and receive calls fine. The...

new ATA box for sale by Linksys
Fry's Electronics has a new Linksys 2 line ATA box for sale for $59.99 retail. They have a version with a router for $89.99. We picked the non-router version up and it seems to be a rebadged Sipura SPA-2000. The box has a Vonage service package inside as well, but it does work with other services. The box also has a "User Guide" meant for end-users that is very well written [no Engrish] and explains the calling features and install well. I imagine that the wholesale pric...

SNOM IAX image
...m September 2002. There was a message on this list stating that SNOM was coming to visit Digium last April with the intention of adding IAX support themselves. For a while there was reference to the I100E on the asterisk and/or digium web sites, but this is gone now I think. This was apparently a rebadged SNOM 100 w/ IAX. Can anyone fill me in on what I'm missing? Does the 0923 SNOM IAX image do IAX2? In general, what's the status of this software, and how does the 0923 image work? Many thanks in advance, Michael Cox

OT: Replacing Venerable NAS

Built in and supported from Silicon Valley, not China. :) iXsystems sells rebadged SuperMicro stuff, nothing special (not made in Silicon Valley). We bought an iXsystems TrueNAS (commercial version of FreeNAS + "supported" hardware) system at $DAYJOB about 2 years ago, with the dual-node "HA" setup, and it was not a pleasant experience. Over the first 6 mo...

ISDN BRI termination via Cisco?
...d I really would prefer not to run a one-off box with a relatively foreign (to us) OS which seems like even those with some familiarity have trouble making work. So I was looking at Cisco stuff, for something unrelated, and noticed that they have the "VG 200", which appears to maybe be a rebadged 26xx class router. Does anyone have any experience terminating NI1 ISDN BRI's on one of these for use with Asterisk? How hard is it to make this work? .. Viewing Properties of file marks it Read-Only?
I've got CIFS/9000 (rebadged SAMBA 2.2.3a) running under HP-UX 11.11 using the below configuration. If I use Windows Explorer to right-click on any file (in the SAMBA Share) and view its Properties, the Unix privileges get changed from "-rwxrwxr-x" to "-rwxr--r--" essentially making it Read-Only!! Even...

R 3.2.5 is released
The 3.2.4-revised version turned out to give trouble for some of CRAN's subsystems. Accordingly, a rebadged version 3.2.5 is now released; it only differs in the version number and a few clean-up items. If you have a working install of 3.2.4-revised there should be no reason to upgrade it. You can get the source code from http://cran.r-project.org/src/base/R-3/R-3.2.5.tar.gz or wait for it to be mir...

Strange battery power shortage on an Unitek iZi UPS 525
Hi everyone, I've been using nut 2.0.3 for more than a year on a Unitek iZi UPS 525 (which is a rebadged Mustek). Everything worked fine and last week, when pressed by RENEL :-) I ran a battery test which showed the system to have 17min of back-up power (yes, still haven't figured out how to use upssched...) The system used for testing was an old PIII/500MHz/512KB cache, 256MB RAM (3 x SDRAM 10...

OT: Linus Torvalds delays Linux 3.0 launch due to a subtle bug (fwd)
...inet.net.au> Subject: [opensuse-offtopic] Linus Torvalds delays Linux 3.0 launch due to a subtle bug *LINUX FOUNDER* Linus Torvalds has said that he's delaying the release of Linux 3.0 due to the discovery of a bug. Torvalds announced back in May that the Linux 2.6.40 kernel will be rebadged as the Linux 3.0 kernel <http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2074875/linus-torvalds-christens-linux-kernel>. The projected release date of Linux 3.0 was supposed to be today, but in a post on Google+, Torvalds explained that the discovery <https://plus.google.com/102150693225130...

100GB incremental backups
...re are about 400GB of client's files on the server. Basically every Microsoft Windows user generated file (Word, Excel, whatever) of the entire University gets stored on my Samba server. Obviously backups are important. The Samba server is a Sunfire 280R and we use Sun's Solstice Backup (rebadged Legato Networker) and a Storagetek Timberwolf DLT tape jukebox to do backups every night. A full backup on Sat. nights and an incremental the other 6. Ok, now to the problem/question - lately we've been getting a lot of Huge incremental backups. I spent a great deal of my time yesterday di...
