Using Asterisk 1.4.26.2 I can get a nice colored CLI if I run asterisk -c But I cannot achieve this when I reattach to an existing instance (as i want to do) with asterisk -r. Is there a way to reattach and have color? Thanks -- - Eric Smith

OT -- apcupsd messages
Does anyone here have any "feel" for the "Battery disconnected" and "Battery reattached" log entries? The rebooting came as a result of me turning off modems, router, external drives, monitor, cordless phone and finally, the computer, trying to locate a quiet but annoying "chirp". The "chirps" stopped when I tilted the UPS to look at the front

How to reattach to a failed ssh session or process
Hi, is there a way to "reconnect" to a ssh session that was disconnected and left running processes in the linux server? I know that's the purpose of the screen command, but just to spread know-how, is that possible? Example: 3441 pts/0 S+ 0:00 nano /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf I remotely connect to a machine via ssh and started to edit apache conf and i did not used screen

[PATCH] virtio-blk: Don't free ida when disk is in use
When a file system is mounted on a virtio-blk disk, we then remove it and then reattach it, the reattached disk gets the same disk name and ids as the hot removed one. This leads to very nasty effects - mostly rendering the newly attached device completely unusable. Trying what happens when I do the same thing with a USB device, I saw that the sd node simply doesn't get free'd when a

I have an X4500 thumper box with 48x 500gb drives setup in a a pool and split into raidz2 sets of 8 - 10 drives within the single pool. I had a failed disk with i cfgadm unconfigured and replaced no problem, but it wasn''t recognised as a Sun drive in Format and unbeknown to me someone else logged in remotely at the time and issued a zpool replace.... I corrected the system/drive

FS corruption under ext3
Hi-- We've been observing some consistent filesystem corruption under ext3. The problem is that a directory created by one of our applications vanishes for some reason. The directory is created on installation the application. The files it contains are written infrequently (days to months) and read as part of every user command. The directory is under /etc and always has the same path.

isoMDS and dist
I am starting with a matrix in which rows are vegetation plots and columns are various characteristics including ID# and elevation. I removed elevation and ID columns to avoid having those characteristics influence the distances between points which I calculated using the "dist" command. The resulting distance file was then used in isoMDS. What I want to know is whether I can

Replace brick of a dead node
Hi! Seeking pardon from the experts, but I have a basic usage question that I could not find a straightforward answer to. I have a two node cluster, with two bricks replicated, one on each node. Lets say one of the node dies and is unreachable. I want to be able to spin a new node and replace the dead node's brick to a location on the new node. The command 'gluster volume

Help needed: plotting with no device
...y, used the "screen" program to start a shell. Ran R. Then, from a remote computer, used ssh to log in (without X forwarding enabled). Grabbed the session by doing screen -d -r. (screen lets you trade the controlling tty of a session; that's why I was using it). After detaching and reattaching the session a couple of times (still remote) I did > hist(tres4$singles[["a"]]) tres4$singles is a dataframe. I can still type on the terminal, but get no response. R 1.7.1 on Debian. Is there any way to get the R session back without killing it? Thanks.

How do you "re-attach" a 3 disk RAIDZ array to a new OS installation?
Hi, I''m completely new to Solaris, but have managed to bumble through installing it to a single disk, creating an additional 3 disk RAIDZ array and then copying over data from a separate NTFS formatted disk onto the array using NTFS-3G. However, the single disk that was used for the OS installation has since died (it was very old) and I have had to reinstall 2008.11 from scratch onto a

2.6.0 bcmxcp_usb recovery question
Greetings, The way that bcmxcp_usb reacts to and recovers from a USB cable unplug-plug appears to have changed significantly between 2.4.1 and 2.6.0. While I can see some improvements, bcmxcp_usb 2.6.0 does not appear to handle a USB cable unplug-plug correctly. Does anyone know if this has been fixed in subsequent releases? Here are the details. When the USB cable between my server and my

...today's perl thread) yum update perl.x86_64 yum update shutdown -r now I've taken a backup of /boot dump after the upgrade, but have not yet reenabled normal backups. My hunch is that something in the upgrade process touched sda1 but not sdb1, and that removing sdb1 from the mirror and reattaching it for resync would be sufficient, however I was looking for comments on this from anyone with experience or opinion on the matter. Googling the issue doesn't seem to turn up any recent related results. Also, could the upgrade have touched the bootblock on sda1 but not sdb1 and thus trigger...
