Titles on panel graphs created in zoo
...e zoo and would like to add a title for each separate panel.
I am using the script:
z <- with(mydata,zoo(cbind(mydata$Water.level,mydata$Submerged.plants,
mydata$Crayfish.CPUE,mydata$Carp.CPUE),Year))
plot(z,type="b",pch=16,lty=2,xlab="Year",ylab=c("Metres","Realtive density",
"CPUE","CPUE"),main="")
Any help would be much appreciated.

Model design
Dear List,
I am realtively inexperienced so i apologise in advance and ask for
understanding in the simplicity of my question:
I have data on the amount of grass per km in a cell ( of which i have
lots) "grass" and for each cell i have x/y coordinates - required due
to spatial autocorrelation
Cells can be clas...

Sure, it would be a realtively straight-forward (but large and hard to get
right, if you're not a GCC expert), project to build an LLVM front-end for
GCC. This would allow you to effectively use LLVM as a mid-level
representation for GCC, and would allow you to use all of the GCC
back-ends with LLVM.
However, note that...

why doesn't llvm transfer bytecode to RTL form?
I mean the cross-platform compile in GCC.
Could LLVM do that?
maybe tree-ssa also create the representation with a testual format if
needed.
is it very difficalt?
I want to know.

A method to determine PSTN Call Provider?
I'm looking for a solution to determine if a PSTN call to a zaptel channel was originated from a VoIP provider or not in real time.
I'd like to use the callerid(num) to reverse match to the provider.
Does anyone have a clue how I could do this?
TIA Bart

[LLVMdev] New getelementptr instruction form
...and it seems to work ok. If there is a place I missed, there
should be a catastrophic error (assertion failure) that stops compilation.
If you run into any of these, let me know.
As it stands, LLC is probably broken due to these changes. Judging from
earlier discussions with Vikram, it should be realtively easy to support
these in LLC as long as he has time to implement it (in fact, it might
involve removing hacks that are in place to support the old broken
behavior). Until he gets to it though, LLC probably won't work, so _do
not_ update your tree if you need LLC.

Some hint on migration from a set of NT4 domains to an AD domain...
I've lurked (and posted) on that list by some month, getting many
vaulable informations, but still i've many doubts.
Most of my doubt i think came from the fact that 'AD' (generally) a is
a very complex beast, and if samba in NT4 mode fit very well in a UNIX
environment (and mind ;), samba in AD mode forced me to think in some
''microsoft way'. And i'm not used to.

LVM Checksum error when using persistent grants (#linux-next + stable/for-jens-3.8)
Hey Roger,
I am seeing this weird behavior when using #linux-next + stable/for-jens-3.8 tree.
Basically I can do ''pvscan'' on xvd* disk and quite often I get checksum errors:
# pvscan /dev/xvdf
PV /dev/xvdf2 VG VolGroup00 lvm2 [18.88 GiB / 0 free]
PV /dev/dm-14 VG vg_x86_64-pvhvm lvm2 [4.00 GiB / 68.00 MiB free]

One of my user is praising Skype!!!
I cannot figure out anymore what I can improve!
This users sip show peers is jumping from 65 msec to 1800 all the time.
Of course his voice quality is like a morse code with dashes or dots of

The next minute he calls me via Skype and it works fine !!!! What
indicates that there is no fault on his Internet connection!!!

OT: finding a designer (bit of a rant)
I''ve written my app already. It outputs valid xhtml and I need a stylesheet
to drop over the top. How hard is it for people to understand that?
It''s a small project, they''d have to do the main design/layout, and then a
little custom styling for some specific elements which don''t appear on every
page. That''s the point of CSS right? write once, use

Concerns over Rails' handling of tests
Sorry if this comes across as a bunch of disjointed thoughts...I''m just
trying to put my thoughts down and I''d like to know what other people''s
opinions on the subject are.
I''ve been working with Rails for 3 or 4 months now and I''m constantly trying
to look at ways of improving my testing techniques, especially when it comes
to TDD. I have a few
