DTMF onto the reall world
Hello All, I was originally having problems just getting DTM from the SIP phone over to asterisk for the voice mail app. But through settings in the SIP client got that working. I am know at the stage know though that asterisk doesn't appear to be passing DTMF over to the real world, I am using ISDN 4 Linux with an ISDN2e. What settings in Asterisk are responsible for this? Thanks

AMI disconnects
Hi all. I've got a perl script that connects to Asterisk's management interface using Asterisk::AMI. So far, its proven to be very useful. I'm hoping to use this to detect and respond to asterisk restarts and sip reloads. However, my script gets disconnected quite frequently, causing false alarms in my monitoring. Here's what the code looks like:

reading in results from system(). There must be an easier way...
Hello, I am currently using R to run an external program and then read the results the external program sends to the stdout which are tsv data. When R reads the results in it converts it to to a list of strings which I then have to maniuplate with a whole slew of commands (which, figuring out how to do was a reall challenge for a newbie like myself)--see below. Here's the code I'm

unused argument(s) (Header = True) help!
Hi, I'm really new to R so I aoplogise if this is a stupid question. I'm trying to import data from a .txt file into R using the read.table command, the headers for the data columns are already in the text file so I add Header = True after the file location. The problem is I keep getting the error message *unused argument(s) (Header = True)*, does anyone know why? The format of the text

Outlook dialing
The bar is getting raised yet again http://www.voipmonitor.net/2007/06/05/New+Features+And+Services+For+Pack et8+Virtual+Office.aspx I personally use Snapanumber $30 or there abouts (after trialing a few other TAPI solutions and finding them sub-par) and think it's a great product but interesting to see how more people are expecting desktop/phone integration applications. Does anyone

Robust nonlinear regression - sin(x)/x?
You reall have only one parameter in your model, c = a/b. You can't identify both a and b from your model, therefore, you should fit the linear model: lm(z ~ c* sin(x)/x) Ravi. ----- Original Message ----- From: cstrato <cstrato at aon.at> Date: Monday, February 2, 2004 2:28 pm Subject: [R] Robust nonlinear regression - sin(x)/x? > Dear all > > Since I did not receive any

Instalation of lastest version of Shorewall in Debian
I want to use lastest version of Shorewall in my fresh debian squeeze instalation, so I follow http://www.shorewall.net/Install.htm#Debian but, modify preferences file was not enough for me, I have to modify/add some other files in /etc/apt/ directory: 1.) include testing repo to source.list 2.) add APT::Default-Release "stable"; to apt.conf and pinning all other packages to stable

porting numbers away from packet 8?
Does anyone know if it's possible to port a number AWAY from packet8? I've been with them for 2 years and really want to move to an IAX based service so I can have more than 1 incoming line at a time. Cheers, Dean -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

[PATCH] Make SSE Run Time option.
> We agree on not supporting the non-FP version, however the run time flags > need to be settable with a non FP SSE mode so that exceptions are avoided. I think we should keep the more "official" naming and not AMD's, which is more confusing. SSE means SSE1: all the SSE instructions (including the ones using xmm registers). What AMD calls SSE is not SSE at all. Basically,

finding a compiled version of samba
Samba Techs, I started compiling 2.0.5a yesterday and someone came by and told me I could get a version of samba that has already been compiled. The problem is, I don't know where to find it. Is there any way someone could please send me a copy of one of the most recent "compiled" versions of samba. If not, could you please direct me to the location on the internet where I can

One main title and One legend for multiple lattice plots
Hi All, Can anyone please help me with getting a "single title" and "legend" for both the plots in the following R code. I'll eventually be using .wmf file. # R code: library(lattice) p1 <- xyplot(decrease ~ treatment, OrchardSprays, groups = rowpos, type = "a", main="Same title / legend", auto.key = list(space = "right",

rendering date/times from 64bit julian format?
Hellos, I have date/times in 64-bit Julian format, that is the number of milliseconds since 1 jan 1970 (or something like that). E.g., "1159884877406" For the life of me I can't figure out how to render these in a more readable format, e.g., "2006-10-04 23:12:93.191" (and I have tried to do my best searching the archives and help etc ...) Thank you most

Way to measure loss of quality
I think you misunderstood my quality measurement idea. I mean if you subtract the original and the one after, the LESS voice that is less over or the LESS you can tell when someone is speaking, the better the compression. This is still subjective but I think its easier to tell this way because its easier to tell how much voice is remaining than to tell how much the compressed voice is missing from

[PATCH] Make SSE Run Time option.
So we ran the code on a Windows XP based Atholon XP system and the xmm registers work just fine so it appears that Windows 2000 and below does not support them. We agree on not supporting the non-FP version, however the run time flags need to be settable with a non FP SSE mode so that exceptions are avoided. I thus propose a set of defines like this instead of the ones in our initial patch:

Tag format comments from a newbie
Hello, all: As a newbie with a high opinion of my opinion, I couldn't let the opportunity pass by to put in my $0.02(USD)... First, a summary: We have two places to put information about the song I'm listening to; the metadata stream and the comment header. The metadata stream is intended to be variable-length and (potentially) containing a number of disparate types of details. Not
