Machine-readble cloud-image list
...oVirt users via the oVirt public Glance repository. For that purpose I need to: 1. list the CentOS generic cloud images 2. list mirrors from where I could potentially download those images I could try to parse the HTML here [1], but I'd rather just get the lists from somewhere in some machine readble format if possible. So is this information or parts of it available in some machine-readable format somewhere? [1]: http://cloud.centos.org/centos/7/images/ Thanks, Barak -- Barak Korren bkorren at redhat.com RHEV-CI Team

Sendmail
I know this is a "generic" question, but fully CentOS related. I attempted to set up i386 v.4.1 on my primary computer at the co-located site, and thought I had everything squared away till I discovered the machine was refusing mail connections. AFIK, I had no firewall or other objects blocking port 25. It has been my experience that with most arch's and versions where sendmail is

Sendmail using SMTP authorization
Hi - OK not really an Asterisk question but it is affecting one of my favorite features - emailing voice mail! I've posted on some Linux forums and sendmail.org but no response so I'm hoping someone will take pity on me ;-) My ISP requires SMTP authorization and I'm having a heck of a time getting it to work. I've included the following below: Asterisk 1.4.21 CentOS 5 Sendmail

...issue is that yppasswd asks for the root password even when it is run as root. This means that the password chat, as specified in smb.conf, must contain the root password *in plain text*. If the root password is in plain text in smb.conf, smb.conf should be readable only by root. If smb.conf is readble only by root, any smb utility that users could normally use and that require reading of smb.conf will choke. See the dilemma? It's a nice catch 22. Let's not even mention that having root's password in plain text ANYWHERE, whether readble by everyone or not, is a very very lame idea...
