CAPI not installed
I own a ME600 EPIA Mini-ITX main board with the latest Debian distro (kernel 2.6.8) with isdnutils-base, libcapi20-dev, libcapi20-2, isdnactivecards installed. I have a QuadBRI module by Junghanns with bristuff-0.2.0-RC3a (with asterisk-1.0.3, zaptel-1.0.3 and libpri-1.0.3), and chan_capi-0.3.5. I followed all INSTALL instructions, but I have some strange behaviour. All modules seems to be correctly installed and actives, but on /dev I find only capi20. Anyway, starting Asterisk, I recevive a 'CAPI not insta...

Bristuff ZapHFC and Loosing D-Channel
Using the latest(?) bristuff (Asterisk 1.0.4-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC3a) I have problems with loosing the D-channel. Most of the time, after the message "PRI D-channel down" it only takes a second or so to come back up, noted by the message "PRI D-channel up" However, today most of the time the D-channel stays down. Calls come in, but can'...

rxfax application - doesn't work properly
...problem of TDM400P so I tried something else: normalFax--->ISDN(NT)---->ISDN(NT)--->ISDN(HFC-S)---->Asterisk(RxFax) - the same problem with code 41. Can anybody give me any hint, where shoud I look for the solution ? I suppose that there is a solution. Asterisk 1.0.4-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC3a - so old because of that was the only debian package I could find that supported bristuff and tx/rxfax... I know, I have to build up the newest package with all necessary tools, however - is my problem connected to a version of asterisk/bristuff or maybe something else ? Regards, Marcin

Poor sound quality on ISDN BRI calls
I've been struggling with connection Asterisk to ISDN BRI lines for a while. I have it working with the latest bristuff and compatible Asterisk version: Asterisk 1.0.3-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC3a I am using a cheap Centronics ISDN card and the zaphfc drivers. It works but users complain that the sound quality is not good. They have Xlite phones on their desktops. Xlite to Xlite through Asterisk is fine. Xlite to PSTN through ISDN is not good. Anyone got any experience with this kind of s...

zaprtc from bristuff? not there?
I'm trying to take advice to use "zaprtc from bristuff" (from both a posting here and references on voip-info) because I have a 2.4 kernel SMP machine. I've downloaded and installed bristuff-0.2.0-RC3a and now have the modules zaphfc and zaptel loaded. Running meetme says the extension is invalid (I've double checked meetme.conf and extensions.conf). There is no zaprtc version in that bristuff package (I thought there would be based on other posts). Trying to load zaprtc 0.0.1 gives the...
