1.0.rc24 released
And more fixes. * Dovecot now fails to load plugins that were compiled for different Dovecot version, unless version_ignore=yes is set. This needs to be explicitly set in plugins, so out-of-tree plugins won't have this check by default. - pop3_lock_session=yes could cause deadlocks, and with maildir the uidlist lock could have been overridden after 2 minutes causing problems

rc2x seems to break Pegasus Mail
Hi guys, I upgraded from rc7 to rc24 a couple weeks ago, and noticed today that Pegasus Mail's IMAP no longer connects. So I put rc27 in, and it worked, but only for a little while... I'm not sure what the problem might be, the logs look fine, and I can still use Horde and Evolution without a problem. Pegasus Mail's er...

Dovecot rc23 and rc24 freeze after authentication
...e server was under heavy load. Eventually, the server would begin to freeze all imap connection after authentication (according to the logs). A user would connect, authentication would succeed, and then the connection would sit until timing out. No error logs were produced. Dovecot LDA issues
We've seen two issues come up with Dovecot LDA, both of which have caused us problems: 1) If the user's home directory does not exist, or is not owned by them, deliver fails and causes the mail message to bounce back to the originator. In our environment this happens when our user is moved to another server (where we move their files, but for up to 24 hours afterwards,

dovecot sasl auth (pam) + postfix doesn't work...
hello, i tried to use the "dovecot sasl" with postfix using pam as backend (actually pam_krb5) but it doesn't work. dovecot runs well as pop3 server authenticating with the pam_krb5 module with the config below, but it doesn't even connect with the kerberos server (a remote AD 2003) when it's called from postfix. --------dovecot.conf--------- protocols = pop3 pop3s imap

Capability dropping support patch
...e. Personally I did not find that CAP_SYS_CHROOT was needed in order for me to authenticate and access my mailbox, but I haven't configured anything special with chrooting (yet). I added it because I see chroot() is used in src/lib/restrict-access.c. The patch was generated against 1.0-rc24 and tested with clients imp and Thunderbird. My configuration uses a virtual passdb, requires TLS for AUTH and exports auth-master under a different account. All of this appears to work correctly. I'd appreciate any comments, perhaps this will help safeguard the 1000EUR on non-harden...
