I have two DCs: one based on Debian Stretch and one based on Rasbian Stretch. Both are using Samba 4.8.3 compiled from source. Both have similar configurations. The Debian DC doesn't give this warning, but the Rasbian one does; the user is logged on anyway. If I remove the krb5 entries from the Auth lines in the above file the warning disappears. U...

ICMP 'Destination unreachable (Port unreachable)'
Hi I am still having trouble getting Windows 10 and Windows 7 laptops to communicate with a Samba server (4.1.17-Debian) running on Rasbian Jesse. Running Wireshark on one of the laptops I notice these sequential packet transfers: Laptop –> Pi BJNP Scanner command: discover Pi –> Laptop ICMP 'Destination unreachable (Port unreachable)' This happens even on a laptop that successfully communicates with the Sa...

Upgrade 4.9 -> 4.11 oups
...No problem with 4.11.6 from Louis VanBelle ans no problem with package 4.11.4 from Tranquil.it Denis will work today to check there compilation environment and publish a new package. I have also seen this post in febrary " [Samba] smbd fails to start after upgrade to version 4.11.6" on a rasbian buster. Perhaps also same problem from bad environment compilation ? But it's also strange that samba panic. I will play with gdb today :-) see you later ! -----Message d'origine----- De?: Andrew Bartlett <abartlet at samba.org> Envoy??: mercredi 4 mars 2020 23:44 ??: MORILLO Jordi &...

Unable to use BUILTIN AD groups on a domain member
...for backups). However, when trying to assign the group, Windows cannot find it. (If I perform that same on a share on one of the DCs, it works OK). I can set ACLs for the usual domain groups, eg Domain Admins, Domain Users etc, but none of the BUILTIN groups are found. The server's OS is Rasbian Buster, Samba is Version 4.9.5-Debian. The sever knows about the groups as id test1 (an AD user) gives: uid=13101(test1) gid=10513(domain users) groups=10513(domain users),13101(test1),2001(BUILTIN\users) So I assume nsswitch is set up OK. wbinfo -g and getent group (when the two "winbi...

APC Back-UPS BX1400U
Dear list, since some days I own an APC Back-UPS BX1400U. Now I try to connect my Raspberry Pi to it using NUT, but ... ;) The UPS is connected via an USB-cable, and "lsusb" shows an APC device. NUT is installed via "sudo apt-get install nut". My goal: a Synology DiskStation DS1515+ should "read" UPS-data provided from the Raspberry an shut-down itselt at 30%
