I'm trying to validate user/password pair in a domain without actually being joined (no account in AD server). It is important for me to do it whith this particular condition. My Samba version doesn't implement this command yet (net rap validate). Is there another way to do it? My Samba version is 3.0.33. I have the new fileserver up and running, and I'm using rsync to keep the Novell data current on the Samba server.
