alert function, V2
I guess the alert function is not part of the spec, because it appears
to be unimplemented in Dovecot, even though most clients implement it.
Timo, I would hope this would be easy to implement, and it's
functionality that will be valuable to every installation. Here's why.

Mac Wine help for a complete noob?
FIRST OF: I have absolutley no idea when it comes to terminology or working with Wine in general, you guys just seem to be my only hope.
So heres my problem: I recently purchased the classic Grand Theft Auto Games (GTA 3 to San Andreas) at GamesTreeMac for my Macbook. Of course Rockstar didnt go through the hustle of rewriting their code, so GamesTree just ported it. Problem is: Since I run a

Problem in sharing mailboxes across users
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to configure dovecot to allow users to share their imap folders.
I've followed the wiki and i'm near to accomplish my tasks, when i set
ACL properly on folders using imap commands the other user can see the
folder as shared, but i can't subscribe to it or even access its content
using any email client (like thunderbird) couse it looks like the path

...er enter the channel that I moderate; I managed to get through
to them on some level at least.
Sadly this sort of baby sitting of a user shouldn't be required and
requiring some thick skin to get through their harsh comments is difficult.
More moderation will "work" but while they are rampaging, you're going to
still have to watch the channel and you'll get a few lines of harassing
text while an op takes a bit of time to see them (and sometimes even
perceive them, on "good" days they make comments that make some sense
initially).

destroy vs delete
what is the difference between destroy and delete in AR
I am not sure what they mean by
"Destroys the record with the given id by instantiating the object and
calling destroy<http://api.rubyonrails.com/classes/ActiveRecord/Base.html#M000866>(all
the callbacks are the triggered). If an array of ids is provided, all
of them are destroyed."

constructing a dataframe from a database of newspaper articles
I am hoping for some assistance with formatting a large text file which
consists of a series of individual records. Each record includes specific
labels/field names (a sample of 1 record (one of the longest ones) is
below - at end of post. What I want to do is reformat the data, so that
each individual record becomes a row (some cells will have a lot of text).
For example, the column

Friday Aug 21st @ 12 noon EDT: VoIP Users Conference, More Wideband Madness
Tomorrow, Friday August 21st at noon EDT, we'll be on the rampage
again with the VoIP Users Conference, much of which concerns Asterisk
and the Asterisk community. We've covered a lot of ground in the past
2 1/2 years, and had a lot of great guest presenters.
In the meantime, there's a new gadget to test at PhoneFromHere.com,
you can hear the wideband demo on the ZipDX.com bridge:

logging of which key authenticated?
Hi folks,
I was wondering if it were possible to log which key is used to authenticate
a user logging in?
In our scenario, our client is wanting to use SSH keys to control shared
access to Unix accounts, including root. It is obviously possible to add
multiple keys into the authorized_keys file, however, it is not possible to
see which user/key was actually presented, at a reasonable logging

Intel VT-d and Asus Desktop/Workstation mainboards, eg. Asus P9X79 WS
Good day to you
Im a casual Xen user and am also using I/O Virtualization.
I had always trouble getting DMAR tables (and IOMMU) recognized with
Asus Mainboards, despite the fact that I always used this boards a lot.
Since the Nehalem Intel architecture, I looked into Intel Mainboards
due the fact that this seems to work out with Xen, Linux and VT-d.
My request is, that someone who tried Asus

Authentication problem?
LAN - mixed architecture - 2 x win98, 1 x winME, 1 x win2k, 3 x Mandrake Linux

Versions - Mandrake 10.0, with all updates applied, Samba 3.0.6-4.1
I had a properly working lan, with occasional problems between box1 and box2
(Mdk boxes). Now I have no connection between them, for file-sharing
purposes, at all. Box3,

[LLVMdev] llvm.org bug trend
This week, for the very first time since I started sampling (14 months ago),
the weekly open-bug count went DOWN.
Traffic on llvm-bugs indicates that Bill Wendling is doing a lot of this. Huzzah!

Windows Memory Issues
Hi all,
I am currently building an application based on R 1.7.1 (+ compiled
C/C++ code + MySql + VB). I am building this application to work on 2
different platforms (Windows XP Professional (500mb memory) and Windows
NT 4.0 with service pack 6 (1gb memory)). This is a very memory
intensive application performing sophisticated operations on "large"
matrices (typically 5000x1500

assert2-0.4.6 provides assert_xhtml, an alternative to assert_select
Rubyists:
Consider the following monstrosity, coded using assert_select:
assert_select "div#logo_box img[src=/0000/0001/logo.gif][alt=My Company]"
Now, behold it rewritten to use assert_xhtml:
assert_xhtml do
div.logo_box! do
img :src => /logo.gif$/, :alt => ''My Company''
end
end
That sample contains more Ruby; it''s not just

Fortunately, it just involves reformatting the data and a little
reconmfiguration of dovcot. If you can find the tool and disk space,
it's well worth doing. Of course, when running a proverbial
