Questons about 'igraph' package
...he 'color' attribute does work, the nodes are red and green, but the 'name'
attribute doesn't work, I still have the numeric id on each node (0-99).
Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?
Thank you,

Queston on using the delete option
You brought up a very good point which described what rsync can and can
not do. Because of the robustness of this application, we are trying
to find a way to use rsync and replacing our current primitive system
which uses tar and send the data over a small pipe.
Since my last posting, I have thought about not using the
"--delete"option and instead, gather a list of files to be

Questons about R capabilities
Hello,
1) I am interested in performing a limited-dependent variable linear regression. By this I mean a classical linear regression, but for the case where the values of the dependent variable cannot vary from -infinity to +infinity, but are truncated and so are between two finite limits L1 and L2. Does R1.7 have this capability? If so what is (are) the relevant command(s)?
2) I am also

Using LightDM as a headless XDMCP server without physical graphics card
...ing for my setup is a dedicated machine running some
VM's, these VM's don't have any graphics card associated and run
headless and the only form of command is via a web interface or SSH.
LightDM seems to use the /dev/fb0 device as graphics card, but that does
not exists on a VM.
My queston is, how can I use LightDM to run as a headless XDMCP server
without the need of a physical present graphics card? The configuration
docs did not shed any light on this usage.
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,

set dataframe field value from lookup table
Hi
This is (hopefully) a bit more cogent phrasing of a previous post. I'm
trying to compute a z-score to rows in a large dataframe based on values in
another dataframe. Here's the script (that does not work). 2 questons,
1) Anyone know of a more elegant way to calculate the "rounded" age value
than the nested ifelse's I've used?
2) how to reference the lookup table based on computed indices?
Thanks
Jon

what quality ?
hi,
what quality is recommended to encode to for cd quality?
i mean, for mp3, i used to encode to 128kb/s ( maybe it's a bit low..
)..
so what quality ( or bitrate ) do you recommend?
thanks,
gabor
p.s: i'm sure this queston was asked here at least 1000x but it's hard
to search for 'bitrate' here :-)

Queston is: what do the MTA authors want? We occasionally
see chunks of fuzzily-informed mud come flying over the
wall from MTA lists, but I've yet to see a neat description
of the requirements.
I'd very much like to see such a description, and to have
such a discussion, because we should have a...

is my first post, although I have looked at the archives. I haven't found
an answer to this in the archives, so I thought I would post it here.
I've downloaded the DVD iso for CentOS-3.1 from BitTorrent, and I'm
leaving my torrent open for another day or so to help out. I see there is
